No...we put restraints and rules on police for a reason...because sometimes they are wrong...who is a regular citizen to ride around killing people who might be innocent.

You see many cases where suspected pettifiles and other alleged criminals are killed or attacked and they turn out to be innocent...I don't like the idea of people being vigilantes....If my kids were hurt or molested would I be this rational? probably not but it is a scarry thought.

yes it is sometimes, as sometimes the law just does not get the bad person, for lawful reasons like lack of evidence or whatever, even if everyone knows they did it, so yes then a vigilante sorting it is fine, teaches that we as a community will not tolerate the bad even if the law fails us!
I know of a young girl who was rapped, courts could do nothing, she went through months of tests, questions, her whole life ruined, he walked free.
He then told her he would try again, this was witnessed, reported, but because he had stood trial for same thing could not be tried again, so it was sorted out in other means, and it was all fine, he now knows his place in the community and will not dare over step the mark again, and the police knew what was done, but turned a blind eye. All sorted!
But it can be a danger if people think they know that someone has done wrong, but have got it wrong themselves, as then innocent people get hurt!
but your question was is it ever justified, and my answer is yes sometimes, but not all!

This is my first opinion about law... People who seek to do no harm do not require law... having said that... here's what you do if a man continually batters his wife and familly... first you try to reason with him when that fails... 5 men of the comunity get to gether bring him into the woods beat the sh*t out of him and walk away saying... you get that every time you lay a hand on your wife or kids... not vigilantism but justice....

No. A society is dependent on the majority of its constituents to behave lawfully, and to use the correct channels to obtain justice in the case of someone who breaks those laws. A vigilante is no better than the criminal to whom he wishes to dish out "justice".

Im afraid to answer, you used a lot of capital letters if I say yes
I'm almost certain you will go out and serve your own form of justice.
I guess my answer would be if you believe in God then it is not necessary. I could not possibly serve justice better than he.
