my family was in a terrible accident a few years back. my father couldnt work and my mom was just starting her job and didnt make good pay. my dad went to the welfare office to try and get some money. My family was not allowed to get food stamps because we had two vehicles. one vehicle was a 15 year old minivan which my dad used to get to work (bluebook value 300 dollars) and my mom had a 5 year old minivan in which she used to take kids to school and go to work herself.(bluebook value 1500) so as my dad is standing in line trying to see if they could give him foodstamps. Loud bumping music was heard outside and a black person pulled up in a decked out new escalade with nice rims and stereo. The guy actually came out of his car walked to the front of the line and got some food stamps and left. my dad was furious. did he have a reason to be mad?

Bush inviting Dems to meet about Iraq

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush on Tuesday invited Democrats to discuss their standoff over a war-spending bill, but he made clear he would not change his position opposing troop withdrawals.
The White House bluntly said the meeting would not be a negotiation. "It's time for them to get the job done, so I'm inviting congressional leaders from both parties - both political parties - to meet with me at the White House next week," Bush said in a speech to an American Legion audience in Fairfax, Va.

I mean be resonable.
Ford lost 12.7 billion dollars in 2006.
They paid their CEO 39.1 million dollars for 4 months of failed service.
http://www.miamiherald.com/795/story/64487.html
They are closing 14 manufactoring plants.
http://money.cnn.com/2006/01/23/news/companies/ford_closings/index.htm?cnn=yes

Thats why the corporate system in America is UN-AMERICAN.
39 million could have saved 1 of those plants for a full year.
Instead it goes to an ULTRA-WEALTHY Failure who only got the postion because of his elite wealth status.

But charity for people who need it is destroying America? Liberals are bad? Are you kidding me? How many of you get paid 39 million for 4 months of work?

The problem is with the fact that the top of corporations are so grossly overpaid while they cut off the productive parts of the corporation. Which is going to produce more $$$ for the company, a 15th VP getting paid 5 million a year or a whole manufactoring plant creating sellable goods.

Why weren't Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson all over hitlery clinton when she gave the "I ain't no ways tarred" speech, in a predominantly African-American church, that mocked southern African-American dialect and belittled the sacrifices of those involved in the civil rights movement of the 60's?

Has SHE apologized for her condescending speechifying?

NOW - they use their clothing to conceal bombs.

Political Correctness dictates we just leave them alone to do what they want. We can't offend them.

NOTE toJUST the PC LIBERALS: they are offending ME. I don't like my fellow Americans being bombed. I am offended. Are their feelings the only ones that matter to you?

I just have the hardest time to imagine, what our freedom and our soldiers in Iraq have to do with each other. I felt actually felt better about my freedom, before Bush got into power. Maybe Clinton got sucked a little, but Bush sucks big time.

Dems will moan about people not being able to afford insurance.

Well, Dems love when big government makes rules to "be fair." In the process, Americans get screwed. Take a look at this one --->

1/3 of those who don't have healthcare insurance are the typically healthy 20-somethings. Why don't they have insurance? Well, insurance for a male in his 20s ought to be cheap. But, Dems come up with rules to screw guys like that. Dems pass laws that force average 20 year old males to pay the same price for insurance as a guy who is 60 years old.

So, even though a healthy 20 year old male ought to be able to buy insurance for roughly $1500 per year, the Dems pass rules to screw the guy into paying about $5,000 per year for insurance so that the young male pays the same price as the "old fart."

What does the guy do? He says, "No freaking way!! I'll take my chances by not buying any insurance."

Dems, How do you come up with stuff like this?

I am a 19 year old kid in good shape who is looking to join either the SEALS or the SWCC. I feel like I could meet the physical requirements with a little more training but all of the pictures I see of Navy Special Ops show guys who look to be about 25 and older. Am I too young?

According to "snopes.com" the story about Bushs' home being environmentally friendly and Gore's using 12x the energy as a normal American household are true. Yet there are some democrats on here posting its an urban myth. Why can't liberals accept that their leaders do not practice what they preach?

Someone I know ordered a chinese child online. The child was supposed to go to school in the US, ect ect. Instead the person I know has turned the child into their own personal servant and only lets the kids play outside in the backyard at night and does no schooling, home or public. Basically the kid is kept away from view of the neighbors and everyone else.

I feel there is something terribly wrong with this and I am not sure if I should take the child to the police or if I should just look the other way. From what I can see there is no physical abuse, but I dont know.
