Conjugal visitation is not provided to most married or unmarried inmates in U.S. prisons. First implemented in Mississippi prisons, conjugal visitation programs have been successful in other states such as California and New York. Conjugal visits give inmates the opportunity to keep the family unit together. By doing so, inmates are more likely to have lower recidivism rates and are easier to manage while serving their sentences. There is a need for new research on conjugal visitation programs. Past research has shown that these programs may have been a valuable rehabilitative tool for the criminal justice system. These programs could be used to reintegrate offenders back into the community, if they are deemed sucessful.

Just check into a motel.

Seriously, city jails and county jails do not allow conjugal visits. Some state prisons do under strict circumstances and, yes, sex is allowed.

Depends on where you are. I know in some states (such as California) they do if you are married. But lifers don't. And it also can depend on what part of the prison they are in. I think main line prisoners can, but ones that are not on main line cannot. It all depends. The ones here that do allow for weekend "family" visits.

I guess the question is why do you both want to have multiple partners... why get married? I want more sex and I wish my wife would be more involved then just lying there. So from that standpoint... maybe for me, but not because I want more partners.
