This happened to me last night. A cop pulled me and my friend over (she was driving) at 3am (and somehow saw from behind us that her registration was expired), and let us off with a warning. But he asked both of us for our licenses, and at the time I didn't think that was odd, so I gave it to him.. but I woke up this morning and realized that: 1) I wasn't able to get a good look at him or his car, so I don't even know if he was a cop, 2) he left with our personal information 3) without leaving us written documentation of who he is. That makes me feel weird. So I wanted to know if it was normal for cops to ask both the driver and the passenger for their licenses. Thanks!

The FBI has lied repeatedly about its use, and abuse, of the rights-robbing USA Patriot Act to obtain information on U.S. citizens.
Today we learn that the federal government, at the direction of the White House, routinely ignores the Freedom of Information Act and hides more and more government documents under a cloak of secrecy
Old georgie has fired the independent thinking U.S. attorneys, replacing them with lockstep right-wingers who share his view of totalitarian control of government. He ignores the laws of Congress, issuing "signing statements" that give him the power to do whatever he wants
The America we used to cherish is dead, replaced by a ruthless dictator. The America that more than 3,100 men and women died for in Iraq no longer exists

The US of A is brain dead with no chance for revival with its offiical police state open for operation.
Maybe it's time for a new American Revolution!!!!!

My solution is that we should have international troops in Iraq like the one we have in Lebanon today. Meanwhile, all American troops must be withdrawn from Iraq. I meant no more American troops in Iraq soils. Do you think the world would be willing to fix the mess left by Americans? Why and why not?
Thanks

That is, when the victims are evil, treacherous, smelly, lazy and hairy subhumans??? Just like it was the case in 1915???
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. Nahum 1:14 Holy Bible

Not the war in Iraq please ...other important issues. I think the war is going to cloud the entire election and once again the Americans are going to vote on an issue and not for a person.

Bill Mahar is , a conservative liberal ( in my opinion ) though he might deffine his political views differently. I am a republican (liberal slant) but absolutely LOVE Bill Mahar , think he's a friggin genius , and would vote for him for president. Any other Republicans feel the same , democrats too.

Pentagon struggles to find fresh troops

"Combat troops, meanwhile, are coming to realize that the Pentagon can't fulfill its commitment to give soldiers two years at home for every year they spend deployed."

They love to tell you the're all about inclusion and equal rights, just so long as you only agree with their point of view. Otherwise, you're a hatemonger. They love to "feel your pain" and promise to create an expensice Federal program to fix itr, so long as they spend someone elses tax dollars. They LOOVVEE to blame W for all of the problems of the world, but never offer any solutions of their own. Must be nice to have it as easy as this and also have the media in your hip pocket!

If the soldiery is trained by the Soviets actions in Chechnya are so bad then why do the very same actions by our troops gain acceptance.
Remember we are talking tactics not politics.
When our spc ops led Northern Afghan troops helped massacre over 4000 Taliban troops by cooking them in semi vans and firing bullets into and burial in mass graves, or torturing people as the Soviets and old Nazi Germany military did , actions we screamed as barbaric for years but now are agreeable too?
Sorry foks but when military training turns from defending a nation into being able to rationalize the deliberate invasion and occupation of a country something has changed.
When your special operations troops no longer care as to why they are doing something and it is just the doing of something that matters something has changed.
Enough BS of a soldier just follows orders, this is not Nazi Germany, those who fought such knew why they were fighting, and it wasn't just to be playing soldiers!
