it seems as if you cannot say anything without immediately being labeled as a con or a lib.. why cant you just be a person with an opinion on a topic?

it seems like two teams have been created in america, and apparently everyone with an opinion is on one of them.. idk about you, but i havent joined either.. and if i have to be on one of them, where the hell is my jersey and membership card? and will the card give me any special discounts anywhere?

i think the only people who benefit from this situation are the politicians and political pundits with radio and tv shows who are able to use this situation to stop discussion on important issues.. people no longer can simply think about the issues without the fear of being labeled into a category they may not even consider themselves.. and when it comes time to vote, less emphasis is put on things like the war and the fact that we wont have social security, and more on things like gay marriage and stem cells

Pursuing Clinton while having an affair himself. I know the obvious neo-con argument-that Clinton lied under oath. Even the billy bob-evangelical types are willing to forgive -mainly because they agree with him politically. I guess god only cares about (or knows) about ones indescretion when you are under oath. I did not say conservatives-because the people who are now in the Republican part don't deserve the label, Fellow Repubs wake up-we have to admit where we have screwed up-if we keep defending our failures and hypocrasies we are doomed.

My sister was recently charged with obstructing justice and the reason is "probable cause" She is an awesome person and has a good job and literally has never done anything to be in trouble in her life. This whole mess has caused her a lot of mental stress and anguish. The police report and the police officers statements conflict a long with the fact that they lied and did not follow procedure. My sister is completely innocent of what she is accused of...they have not one witness to back up their charge. It hurts me to think that they are considering giving her 90 days in jail(can you believe it) So my question is should she sue them? Let me know why or why not? Thanks.

Unhappy with the Constitution? I would suggest that your happiness went away when you started reaping the consequences of many of your "new ideas".

I asked a question a few days earlier about what someone could do after joining the Marines as a Machine Gunner (0351), and two people responded w/ "Mercenary".

How would one go about becoming a "Mercenary" after service? When they say Mercenary do they really mean the people that are hired to fight in wars?

take these schools in most liberal cities and towns.
example:
mass. ca. vt etc who made their towns sanctuary for illegals.

if a legal citizen wants to send their child to these town they can go .

why because ,they don't pay taxes to the town and not enough space.why not use they same logic for all the illegals coming to this country.

A shot rings out on a sunny afternoon, and a figure falls, clothed in red, white and blue, his shield falling down the steps of the courthouse as a crowd screams in terror. Captain America is dead. The news is immediate and the USA is shocked. A screen in Times square replays the act over and over, and a young mother covers her daughters eyes. "Why did they kill him Mommy?" Her mother, tears streaming down her face, says, "I don't know honey, I don't know". A crowd of young people, many dressed in Che Gueverra T-shirts, laugh and drink wine, smashing bottles on the street. "The man is dead!" One yells, then performs a dance on the sidewalk. "America is going DOWN!!" His friends all laugh.
On the TV, many commentators are talking. Fox has "Captain America remembered" and details his fight against the nazis, and his defined sacrifice for his country. Keith Olberman takes a different tack, saying "Did Captain America die for his own foolish Patriotism?"

People tell a lot of lies about liberals for some reason.
Liberals don't hate America. Where does this idea come from? Liberals don't hate Christians. In fact, Jesus was a liberal.

So we all have our opinions weather we smoke or not. People want them to be illegal, and our gov't just keeps taxing the crap out of them to make them less affordable so we'll stop. Here's a thought, why hasn't the gov't stepped in and made illegal all the other crap besides tobacco that get put into them? After all, do you think they would be as much as a health risk if they didn't have all the chemicals the tobacco companies put in there? I don't think they'd be nearly as addictive either.

McCarthy seeking out Communists, even innocent. Turning anyone into Communists. Turning brother against brother...American against American. People are divided and scared.

Bush seeking out terrorists, even creating the Patriot Act to seek out terrorists. Turning anyone into potential terrorists (ie. don't support the war). Turning brother against brother. Turning Americans against Americans. People are divided and scared.

Too similar, no?

I live in one of the smaller and poorer counties in Florida, and like most the rest of North Florida we have an illegal problem. It is also difficult with me, as I am a probation officer and had to learn Spanish to properly do my job. Because of this I sometimes ride along with the Sheriff's Department to help translate. One of these ride-alongs were in response to suspicious activity, which ended up being three mexicans (I honestly can't tell the difference between the Latin groups, forgive me) peddling methamphetamines. Instead of arresting the three, he handcuffed them and put them in the back of the car and drove them north to the edge of the county. When we got there, me told me to tell them if they came into the county again he would kill them.

This initially shocked me, but I also remembered his character and position. He was doing what he felt was best for the county, and said it afterwards. I'm starting to think he is right, though.
