I wonder if President Bush's lap dog, Tony, ever reads yahoo answers and gets some kind of impression of what the people of Britain think of him and his discredited government? Probably not. It would hurt his feelings.

Reagan spoke of smaller government, less regulation, but spending under Republican control was out of control from 2000-2006. Has the corporate welfare state derailed the Goldwater/Reagan conservative dream?

If even 1% of them (15,000,000) was "radical" enough to be feared, I would think we'd have more than the occasional suicide bomber in Iraq? How come there is no news of any major battle? It's always either "roadside bomb" or "suicide driver". Do any of them own guns? They can't get two hundred dudes together or what?

Now you will say, "My child is in a PUBLIC school." In which case I'm not getting a whole lot of bang for my buck because believe me, I'm paying the equivalent of a private school education for your child. Wouldn't your rather have a better teacher for your child than the babysitter who teaches him/her how to put a condom on a banana? Then lets phase out public education, give my tax dollars back, I'll put more in your paycheck (I'll want to keep you because you're valuable, right?) and then YOU can choose the best educator for your child. What do you think?

Charges Possible After Patriot Act Audit
By LARA JAKES JORDAN
AP
WASHINGTON (March 9) - The nation's top two law enforcement officials acknowledged Friday the FBI broke the law to secretly pry out personal information about Americans. They apologized and vowed to prevent further illegal intrusions.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales left open the possibility of pursuing criminal charges against FBI agents or lawyers who improperly used the USA Patriot Act in pursuit of suspected terrorists and spies.

The FBI's transgressions were spelled out in a damning 126-page audit by Justice Department Inspector General Glenn A. Fine. He found that agents sometimes demanded personal data on people without official authorization, and in other cases improperly obtained telephone records in non-emergency circumstances.

"We have some work to do to reassure members of Congress and the American people that we are serious about being responsible in the exercise of these authorities," he said.

Under the Patriot Act, the national security letters give the FBI authority to demand that telephone companies, Internet service providers, banks, credit bureaus and other businesses produce personal records about their customers or subscribers. About three-fourths of the letters issued between 2003 and 2005 involved counterterror cases, with the rest for espionage investigations, the audit reported.

Shoddy record-keeping and human error were to blame for the bulk of the problems, said Justice auditors, who were careful to note they found no indication of criminal misconduct.

Why does it seem like christian leaders are supporting a man who admited cheating on his wife while investigation Clinton yet they treat Clinton himself like a criminal for having an affair with Monica? Could it be that politics and NOT faith pushes them to accept one and reject another? Mind you I am a Christian who is getting TIRED of being misrepresented by those so called leaders of Faith.

I ALREADY TYPED THIS ONCE, I'M JUST EDITING IT...HOW LONG WOULD THIS PERSON GO TO JAIL?

What would the consequences be for hiding someone in your house that has a warrant out for their arrest?

More specificially, a friend of mine in Texas is hiding someone who had their probation revoked. She is worried about what would happen to her if the police found out he/she was living w/her.

I'm sure there's probably different consequences depending on what crime you've commited, but is there a website someone can reference me to? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think someone who gets more than 1 DUI definitely has a problem. If so, I think to be sentenced to a rehab clinic would be far more suitable then to do community service, or just a few days in the county jails. They need to get rid of the source of the problem. Drinking. Do you agree?

Cheap labor from socialistic countries that provide free healthcare, countries like China that keep the value of their currency low, countries with weak labor laws that allow child labor, countries with low standards of living are among many reasons American laborers can't compete with international labor. Because of these reasons, many American jobs have been exported.
The economic expansion during the last few years has seen growth in corporate earnings but not in personal incomes. This is because the labor for this expansion is being provided by foreign laborers.
What measures can be taken to make American labor more attractive?

If 17 is legal, is it moral? My daughter is 16 and a Jr. in high school. I could not consider her having a relationship with someone in their 20's next year. I am in a dilemma with a friend about if the law says it's okay, is it really ok. If the girl is 17 and the man is 26, is it moral form the two of them to have a sexual relationship?
