How could we get both sides, and I mean "sides", together to try and start working together and make America great again. With all this constant slamming being reported in the media, we have become a laughing stock to the rest of the world.

As refering to Detoth and Leogirls rants, how do you two feel that I'm a liberal and I'm in the military? I don't burn flags like leogirl says. I'm not a coward like GWB, who was in the watered down "Air National Guard" and went AWOL, which is very illegal. I serve, I go to Iraq. Now, I don't support the war but I support my fellow brothers next to me. I support the USA, but not the agenda of war mongerers. Unfortunately, I can't choose the wars I fight. If this was a just war, I would have no problem. But, and this is from the soldiers mouth, this is all about money!!! When we go over there (myself and my friends), we guard oil rigs and teach the Iraqis to do the same. How is this teaching Democracy? How do you feel knowing that you Neocon's idea of a liberal is skewed? I protect your rights and your freedom. How come the NEocons except that a liberal does more for this country than they do? (and most of my soldier friends are liberal as well!) >:(

Do you think liberals and conservatives are too polarized to ever come together and agree on anything again? We used to be a great society and we celebrated and debated our differences. Not anymore.

I worked with a girl, and although not on welfare, she had four kids. She constantly complained about the tax cuts. Do you even pay taxes when you have 4 kids?

The cuts are helping me. I have had a great economic life under Bush.

I want to do a direct presentment before the Grand Jury to have a case brought to Criminal Court since the General Sessions court did not bind a case over to the Criminal Court after a preliminary hearing. The judge in GS Court said I could do a direct presentment to the Grand Jury, but the DA does not like me and told me I am not going to do it--period. If it is my right to do it then I want to do it, even if the DA will motion to dismiss the charge after the Grand Jury gives a True Bill. I know the DA is in charge of the legal community in the District, but I think there is some distance between his job and what the Grand Jury does as they work independantly from the DA. What do you think? Can a DA forbid someone from their day in court by telling them that they will not get an appointment to present a case before the Grand Jury? I want justice against the criminal and now I want justice from this clown of a DA. What do I do?

200 sailors on way to Iraq for river mission
Stars and Stripes
Mideast edition, Saturday, March 10, 2007

More than 200 sailors left Norfolk, Va., Thursday to patrol rivers in Iraq, said Senior Chief Petty Officer David Nagle, of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command.

The Navy has recently began preparing to resume river patrols after letting its riverine force become dormant after the Vietnam War. Ultimately, the Navy plans on having three riverine squadrons.

The sailors now heading downrange will first partner with Marines already patrolling Iraqi rovers and other inland waterways and eventually take over the riverine mission completely, Nagle said in an e-mail to Stars and Stripes.

“Riverine Squadron One’s deployment to Iraq is an example of the Navy and Marine Corps team in action,” said Rear Adm. Don Bullard, NECC commander, in a news release. “We have worked closely with the Marines to prepare Sailors for this important mission We're ready."
