It will probably be the 2nd or 3rd largest economy on the planet. However with the present per capita income at around 3,000 USD, India in 20 years from now will only reach the status of a medium income economy just like Mexico, and Russia nowadays. There still is going to be alot of poverty, but not in the levels we see today.

We can expect a better change in education & infrastructure, basic education should reach all corners of india.......crime & corruption can be decreased if & only if the humanity ,human values increases in every individual....now a days crime & corruption are growing simulatnaeously with pollution levels in the environment......how good it would be a non polluted environment in all sectors...all the best.

Indian education wouldn't change at all. The political participation of youth will increase by much and it will be much better Indian-politics. Economy as projected would swell like hell and India would be home for many many richest people of the world but ofcourse the poverty wouldn't be statistically improved but it does so in reality.People who are below povert line according to Indian Bureau Of Statistics, would own cell-phones,flat television sets, game consoles for their kids, etc. but still would not have a pukka shelter only because they don't prefer to.Such is the mind-set of Indian down-trodden people, they don't want to develop.
And India would become THE ONLY SUPERPOWER WHICH IS STILL A DEVELOPING COUNTRY after 20 years. Money would swell like anything. Rich get richer and poor remain poor(atleast statistically). Agriculture would get doomed and the first recorded deaths due to pollution would occur in Hyderabad,India.

Not very different from what it is now. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking India is going places and a global force to reckon with. India is fraught with not only evil politicians but idiots who pass for politicians. A dangerous combination for any country to proceed onward and upward.
