$100 is too much, it has to be a negative amount. How about:
-$200,000,000,000.00
To cover the $10 billion a year the US spent on illegal aliens, for the last 20 years.

Guffaw!!
They should pay us to take the place. Actually just kidding....as I'm sure you were.
On a serious note: Mexico's economy is such that it would be more of a burden to the U.S. to administrate Mexico, than to put up with the illegal aliens from Mexico. And naturally any "annexation" of Mexico would be contingent on the co-operation of the citizens of Mexico...which I'm highly doubting would be forthcoming.

Why not just make Mexico the 51st state? Would that not solve the majority of the problems for both countries.
Think about that for a minute. Maybe a viable solution.

I think that once you and Mexico agree on a price, and once you hand over the money, they will claim that no purchase was made and that you stole the land.

Yeah we can end illegal immigration, but do you really think that will solve the problems we are currently having? There is alot more going on than that. I want to know who these people are.

Of course it would solve illegal immigration from Mexico but you undervalue the country. The tourist trade is quite lucrative.

Perhaps you need to actually go to Mexico and see. Over a million Americans live there and most paid over $300,000 to do so. They had to pay about half down.
So unless you can sell your home and pay off the mortgage, then have $150,000 left over for a deposit, YOU CAN"T AFFORD TO LIVE THERE.

It is not the country, it's the people that make a country.
If Mexico was so great, they would not be leaving by the millions to come here.
If the U.S. was to buy Mexico, it would be buying it, it's people and all ITS problems.
We have enough of our own.
