Cora-I'm glad to see you again. Most people think I agree with what I ask but I just try to make people think and put a different angle.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I make a deliberate point, on a daily basis, to learn as many different perspectives on issues as possible. I taught classes on critical thinking, and how to explore issues from different viewpoints. I engage in debate with intelligent people who disagree with me, just so that I can understand their side of the argument. And I give credit to any rational argument, whether I agree with it or not.

That's my small contribution to the cause.

If the truth is important to you, then looking at things from other perspectives is critical. When people work from a place of fear or self-centeredness, then an understanding of the world is limited.

When we begin to have compassion for other people (even evil doers), then we can begin to have a more complete understanding of the world.

One of John Nash's big contributions was game theory and debunking some of Adam Smith's work. We should look beyond just helping ourselves. We are all in this together. Seeking the truth means overcoming our fears and preconceptions about the world.
