I am 34 years of age, and I meet all of the requirements for pilot/navigator training except for the age requirement. Does anyone know the rules or protocall for receiving a waiver?

Talk to a Recruiter. We are the ones who initiate the waivers. Some things are not waivable. I know that age can sometimes be waived for officers, but it depends on what the job is.

The answer above mine is an idiot. The military does discriminate and we are not subject to being sued. Could you imagine what the military looked like if we didn't discriminate? We'd have a bunch of retards.

if you are non prior service, your chances are pretty slim. The AF is overmanned and is letting people go left and right. Anybody who requires waiver has less of a chance of getting in over someone with equal qualifications who doesn't require a waiver.

It sounds like your course may be to apply, get a written rejection and then file a discrimination claim based on age with the federal government. I'm not sure it will work, but it might force them to re-evaluate their entry requirements at which point you could possibly qualify.
