Joe, they don't like him at all. After all, he fought the Nazis, and along with what the left calls "American repression" got involved in a foreign war that got a lot of soldiers killed. Nothing is worth that sacrifice, right? Hitler was a sovereign leader of Germany, just like Saddam was the leader of Iraq. He was killed by America, and figures just like Captain America, the American and British soldiers who, while not being fictional superheros, stood for something that no Liberal would ever fight for, freedom.

I personally like his tights. Us liberals love us some tights man. What were you smoking when you wrote this one? Isn't it a bit early for this kinda stuff? Sorry that liberals believe it is better to not fight a war you can't win than to fight in it. There is no surrendering, but at some point you deem it a bad idea and cut your losses man. Simple as that. I wish I could remember my World Civilization better. I don't remember if it was Greek, Rome, or who that had the exact same problem. They didn't know when to pull out of a war and lost it. Sure, you might get your feelings hurt in the war but at least we still aren't spending billions on other countries when our own country could use that money.

The fact that unlike some of the far right conservatives who do nothing but bash liberals, the good Captain truly stands for American values.

Are you really adding to the debate or just tossing gas on a fire?
To return in kind: Liberals don't believe in fantasy characters - just
like we don't believe in "trickle down economics", that you are truly
taxing dead people with a "death tax" or that Bush is a hero.
It is a fantasy projected by people who don't have the guts to take
on the real problems of this world.

Again.
It's a comic book.
He wasn't real.
And apparently none of the conservatives were reading him, because the thing wasn't selling,so why do you people keep insisting on using something you didn't support as an example of Republican virtue?

WOW, this statement proves that conservatives do not get the subtleties of the social commentary of Captain America.
