I asked a question a few days earlier about what someone could do after joining the Marines as a Machine Gunner (0351), and two people responded w/ "Mercenary".

How would one go about becoming a "Mercenary" after service? When they say Mercenary do they really mean the people that are hired to fight in wars?

"mercenary" is another way of saying "halliburton contractor".

You just answered your own question.

BUT you would have to find someone willing to hire you as Mercenary.

All you have to do is find someone who will hire you to fight for them and pay you a good amount of money.
