Any observations or information on their lifestyles, work etc would be appreciated.

One of my old Div O's was a former SEAL who turned NFO, and I met a number of the guys delivering them out to San Clemente Island in our SH-60B in the late 90's.
The guys I met were ALL professional, fit, smart... and a just plain confident. I was one of few NON team guys allowed to sneak into the "Pearl City Tavern" and sip beers in "their" bar.
They weren't rowdy or wild... at least not publically. Just the ideal of professionalism.

Navy Seals are the best fighting unit in the Naval Armed Forces.

I don't know any personally. I've just heard they are very similar to the Green Berets in the Army... meaning they are the elite of the Navy...

I have had the opportunity to assist with their training on many occasions.
They are one of the best trained elite forces in the world.
Personally I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of what they can deliver.

That is Classified.

I knew a couple of Vietnam era seals. wow.....with a lot of alcohol they would talk about some of the things they experienced. God knows what they wouldn't talk about.
