If the soldiery is trained by the Soviets actions in Chechnya are so bad then why do the very same actions by our troops gain acceptance.
Remember we are talking tactics not politics.
When our spc ops led Northern Afghan troops helped massacre over 4000 Taliban troops by cooking them in semi vans and firing bullets into and burial in mass graves, or torturing people as the Soviets and old Nazi Germany military did , actions we screamed as barbaric for years but now are agreeable too?
Sorry foks but when military training turns from defending a nation into being able to rationalize the deliberate invasion and occupation of a country something has changed.
When your special operations troops no longer care as to why they are doing something and it is just the doing of something that matters something has changed.
Enough BS of a soldier just follows orders, this is not Nazi Germany, those who fought such knew why they were fighting, and it wasn't just to be playing soldiers!

How do troops react! As they are trained.
The actio in Afghanistan has been reproted to World Press and covered in English and other Euro press acounts. It is not minor incidnets but actions on a vast scale that show true scale of men trained not to just defeat an enemy but to mercillesly kill them by puting them in situations they have no recourse but to fight In Iraqq Marines surrround a city and let no able bodied males leave. They hqve to pass a check point and are even turnd back . then the marines attack, sniper fire the ambualnces take over the hospitals first so no one can get help even civilians who are wounded.
No these are tactics streight out of what the Germans did in Poland. the Soviet army did in Afghanistan and Chechnya.

\Many incidents of inncnet people just getign blown away for beign five minutes after curfew as trained all Iraquis are enemys and just shoot first and ask never.

In the cases that you are talking about you are absolutely correct. A soldier is allowed to turn down an order that they know goes against military conduct, but to say that these incidents define the military as a whole would be incorrect. I know first hand that much good is occurring over seas. I have not been a supporter of this war from day one and yet was sent there for duty. this war like all wars, are political oriented and the people who suffer the most are the ones that live in the occupied country not the ones on capital hill. But please don't blame all the soldiers for the atrocities that are being committed by a handful of immoral soldiers. Remember that the majority that gets reported by the Media in all countries is the horrible events, seldom do they talk about the good things taking place.

I would suggest that you take a closer look at facts before you make accusations. For example - can you back up your claim that our SF troops assisted in a massacre - or are you merely committing libel against honorable men?

From the wording of your question I suspect that your claims are founded in political bias - not facts.

put down the crack pipe the U.S. Military observes the Geneva Convention and would never participate in the slaughter of POW's. It is the duty of a U.S. soldier to provide for the safety of the prisoner, those few rotten eggs that do violate the rules are punished swiftly for their crimes. Look at the MPs at abu ghrabe (sp) who were court martialed for participating in the tourture of prisoners.

no not really ... although it can be said that the results of any military action in a foreign country are the leaders fault ... there are criminal types in the military just like in civilian life ..
