I'm deploying to Iraq next month and I need to pack my stuff on monday, I was just wondering what females needed the most to go to Iraq?

Generally a person can get anything they need at the PX. However the PX will generally only carry one brand/type of a particular item. So if you prefer a particular brand of shampoo or whatever take a supply with you and make arrangements for somebody to send you more.
Depending on what weapon you are carrying and the conditions you will be carrying it - you might consider an aftermarket rifle sling. I got one through an on line vendor about half-way through my tour and it was much more comfortable than the issue sling.

Most camps in Iraq have a PX. As far as things you actually NEED, there isnt anything you cant get over there. What you will need the most of, is contact to the outside world and people that you can talk to. Good luck!

Hi,, try carrying some good bug spray with plenty of DEET in it... you dont have to spray it on your skin,, but the clothes will help..... Skin so soft helps also..... a bag of babywipes comes in handy also....the wet kind... clothes dryer fabric sheets,,, and maybe a couple of fly swatters.....

my son just returned, he had 3 very capable women in his usmc unit. The only thing that they said they wish they would have brought more of was... socks..thick ones and thinner, so they could layer them, sports bras, and (he called them) wife-beater tank tops....lol the cut away tank tops, he said that with the regular t-shirt it gets pretty hot under all the gear.... pencils.....the retractable ones are best, extra leads you can keep in the case, and carmex!!!!!!!

personal comfort items that you prefer that you may not be able to use generic items in place of...ie certain tampons the BX/PX may not carry
