BAGHDAD, Iraq - Attacks on Shiite pilgrims showed no sign of easing Wednesday with at least 11 people killed by bombs and gunfire as they streamed toward a Muslim shrine ahead of a weekend holiday.

The targeted violence came a day after two suicide bombers exploded themselves among pilgrims lining up at a checkpoint, killing at least 120 people and wounding about 190, police and hospital officials said. "This did not happen under Saddam" many people said. It's been terible since the American attacked Iraq.

July/Aug. '06 answered discovery questions for the Deposition that's scheduled for 12/27. Appointment w/ attorney in Oct. to go over answers, sign papers and discuss whatever questions we had. Dec. comes along haven't heard back from attorney with answers to our questions or follow up appt. to prepare for depostions. I call him the week of 15th. Get appt. scheduled. Meet and find that he didn't submit our discovery questions/answers to other side yet and we still need copies of reports. They cancelled depos. because of it. No biggie. The attorney told me he'd send a letter to us letting us know what we needed for the file, and also answer our questions. Deposition rescheduled for 4/9. I haven't heard anything since Dec. I called 2/27 left message saying I needed to hear from him. Still haven't. Do I cancel the appointment? We aren't prepared again. It's not like I can just go to his office. He's in another state 2 hrs. from me. Advice??

Pretty much no one is going to use them because they are probably smart enough to realize that would mean the end of the world. So what is the point of having them? And what good is war? (Any war...what does it accomplish? More hatred?)

Because someone 15 years ago didn't pay for their crime? I keep reading questions about Sandy Burgher and was wondering if this is the 'personal accountability' that cons speak of? Blaming a dem, instead of blaming the person who committed the crime?

Would you like to start an impeachment in your town? After casting votes on budgets and other routine items, citizens of 32 towns in Vermont backed a measure calling on the U.S. Congress to file articles of impeachment against Bush for misleading the nation on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and for engaging in illegal wiretapping, among other charges.

Five Vermont towns passed similar resolutions last year.

It would appear our country has been hi-jacked by the United Corporations of America, as BOTH parties are nothing more than self-serving, stuff the $$$ in my pockets hypocrits.

If you read about the fall of Rome...it's when they abandoned the fundamentals by which it was founded(Douglas Macarthur also shares this sentiment when reviewing where America is starting to deviate in the 50's...and then came the 60's).

An entity which is at war with itself...is doomed.

I still believe in America...but will never trust another Mayor, Congressman, Senator, City Council, President, etc again.

Just LOOK across America...all rubber-stamped by Wal-Mart, COSCO, Home Depot, ExxonMobil, Pet'sMart...put your trust in corporate America, because that's who's running the show now.

Tell me how, in this country where individual freedoms are supposed to be our most cherished asset, you have any right to stick your nose into someone else's marriage.

Extra points to anyone who can find a place in the Constitution where the government is authorized to do this.

i need to know, why in the world would anyone (i mean the soldiers) would want to volunteer to go to Iraq? Any specific reason? Motivation? Why would they want to spend time far away from their love ones and the risks of getting shot or died when they are there? Can somebody tell me? Or maybe the military men and women itself can explain it to me.

My husband is currenlty deployed, and I wasn't sure whether the seperation pay comes in every month while he is gone, or in a lump at the end. Before you make any assumptions about why I am asking this question, we have already decided we are going to use it to by things for our baby due in September. If it comes in every month, I can just use it as it comes. If I have to wait till they end, that my be cutting it a little close and I will need to go ahead and spend money without waiting for it. Anyway, does anyone know if it comes once a month or at the end.

Welfare costs about 10k a year per person in the united states.
Wouldnt it make more sense to just give everyone 10K every year for life?
It would solve everything and eliminate the HUGE costly government that is doling it out now. And its fair.. the same for everyone.
