I also don't care about Hillary Clinton's land deals or even the futures trade from 20 years ago.

One of Obama's investments in question was a $5,000 investment. In common stock. It was a biotech firm but gee whiz, what's the most he can make on that, given that the sector was already overpriced?

I think these little chicken-**** issues distract from the real problems with the leading Democrats - that either Obama or Hillary Clinton will dramatically ratchet up the federal government's involvement in and direction of the economy and that either of them will raise tax rates - not necessarily raising revenue, just punishing success.

You have to pick your battles. Go after these two for being unabashed socialists, not for their small investments. I don't care if there are a few irregularities in how they make their money - I care about them trying to TAKE MY money.

Up to 7,000 extra US soldiers may be deployed in Iraq
Most Read

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

A Pentagon official has said an extra 7,000 US soldiers may have to be sent to Iraq on top of the 21,500 already announced by President George W Bush.
The official told a budget committee yesterday that the extra troops would be needed to provide support to the additional combat troops Mr Bush is planning to deploy in Baghdad.

The deployment is aimed at restoring security to the city, which is being wracked by daily bombings and growing sectarian violence.

However, it comes at a time when many Americans and Democrat politicians are calling for their soldiers to be brought home. 70% of Americans are now against the Iraq war and it is unclear how the USA will get the troops without a draft. No republicans will send their children.

When I was nineteen, my mother and her husband purchased a house in my name (they both had wrecked credit). I was basically told "If you're living at home, it's the least you can do." I moved out two years ago to get married, and last year I convinced them to move into a smaller house so my wife and I could take this one (we couldn't get financed on anything else because of this house being on my credit report). Now, my mother's husband has decided to change his mind. He claims that "I paid bills on the house (it was financed) for seven years! I have legal right!" My thought is "The house is in my name, and I have the shoddy credit to prove it. He lost any rights when he moved out." Does he legally have any rights to the house? All financing is in my name alone.

PETA issued a public letter to former vice president Al Gore explaining to him that the best way to combat the threat of global warming is to go vegan, and they offered to cook him faux “fried chicken” as an introduction to meat-free meals.
n its letter, PETA points out that Gore’s Oscar winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth" that outlines the potentially catastrophic effects of global warming has failed to address the fact that the meat industry is the largest contributor to greenhouse-gas emissions.
Researchers at the University of Chicago have determined that switching to a vegan diet is more effective in countering global warming than switching from a standard American car to a Toyota Prius.
“The single best thing that any of us can do to for our health, for animals, and for the environment is to go vegetarian,” says PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk. “The best and easiest way for Mr. Gore to show his critics that he’s truly committed to fighting global warming is to kick his meat habit immediately.”

Evangelical leader says Giuliani's divorce a problem
POSTED: 8:02 a.m. EST, March 7, 2007

Story Highlights• Southern Baptist leader says evangelicals have major doubts about Rudy Giuliani
• Richard Land cites GOP presidential hopeful's bitter divorce from second wife
• Land says Giuliani 'publicly humiliated' former wife, children
• Giuliani has been married three times; first marriage was annulled

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A Southern Baptist leader said Tuesday that evangelical voters might tolerate a divorced presidential candidate, but they have deep doubts about GOP hopeful Rudy Giuliani, who has been married three times.

Richard Land, head of public policy for the Southern Baptist Convention, told The Associated Press that evangelicals believe the former New York City mayor showed a lack of character during his divorce from his second wife, television personality Donna Hanover.

"I mean, this is divorce on steroids," Land said. "To publicly humiliate your wife in that way, and your children. That's rough. I think that's going to be an awfully hard sell, even if he weren't pro-choice and pro-gun control."

Giuliani married his longtime companion, Judith Nathan, in 2003. They had dated publicly while Giuliani was married to Hanover. His first marriage ended in an annulment.

And if you said 'This life ain't good enough, I'd give my world to lift you up. . . I could change my life to better suit your mood
Cause you're so SMOOTH
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Well that's the same as the e-motion that I get from you
You got the kinda lovin that could be so SMOOTH. . Yeah
Give me your heart, make it real
Or let's forget about it

Does Obama even have a chance if he doesn't give us his heart, and make it real. . . . fess-up about the whole Madrassa thing ??
Or should we 'just forget about it' ?

My teenage daughter & her friend went to an abandoned building that they heard all the other kids talking about(how is haunted, kids stuff) They found a ladder that went up to the roof and went up it.They were afraid to go inside. They were sitting on the roof looking around the neighborhood. When they decided to get down, there was some electrical wires running across the roof line( they just ducked under when they first walked by them) for some reason(not knowing,I'm sure)my daughter touched the wire and was electrocuted. Her friend grabbed her shirt and pulled her away from the wire(THANK GOD) She is ok other than burns on her fingers and one on the back of her head. She was taken to the ER.I never thought about filing a suit until the company that owns the building said they should fine us for trespassing(which I agree with) However,if alot of other kids are going to the abandoned building all the time, someone is going to get killed by this bare wire. Tell me your thoughts please

Refering to the situation with Libby. I mean he can lie himself all the way to jail and still he will get pardoned. Is that a good system were the president have the right to pardon people ? If the president decide that the truth will never get out they can order someone to take a political fall for him with the promise that he will get out of jail and richly compensated. This isnt democracy its living above the law playing god. They should call those sitting in the white house for the untouchables. Yeah well president can be impeached and convicted but then the new president pardon him. I dont understand it. Sound like something remaining from times when royaltys had power and lead peolpe into battle.
