Number one...when we were nothing more than farmers with pichforks...we kick your a**es...now that we actually have a miltiary we would own you and you would become our B*tch!
Number two...I don't think anyone in you government is smart enough to even know how to launch a nuke...you would end up nuking yourself.

Well, ultimately it's going to be the U.S. and the British Commonwealth vs. the world. Think about it. Besides, of all of Europe, I have the most respect for the UK. Some of your people like to say that they aren't Europeans, and although I chuckle on the inside, I let it slide. I'm just happy that there is still pride in that region of the world.
BTW: We didn't save Britain from Germany, they did that themselves. We certainly helped in the counterattack, but I think the U.S.S.R. could have seen to that eventually. So, it isn't true that Europe would be speaking German if we weren't involved in WWII, but it is true to an extent that much more of Europe would be speaking Russian if it weren't for the U.S.

Because the UK is a free intelligent nation that would dare do anything like that only to be mutually assured destruction. Then the two biggest powers wouldnt be around to make sure the rest of the bi-polar world didnt destroy itself.

Pretty far-fetched scenario, for reasons already cited here, but I will add one more:
The U.S. has enough nukes (they are NOT abroad, they are still right here in the silos & on the bombers, & at sea in the subs) to destroy Russia. The U.K. is a lot smaller than Russia. How many nukes YOU got?
The concept of deterrence works for everybody, not just your enemies.

the people and leaders in uk are smarted then that. the usa could and would raise hell on the uk for sending a nuke our way. we many not do things right all the time but we do have one hell of a country, if the uk tries to wipe us off the map we would hand them their butt. not that i'm not a big fan of the uk, i am but they wouldn't be that stupid.

Because #1 The UK is smarter than that. #2 They dn't want all of their people killed. The US has more nukes than they do.

there is no reason for the UK to attack us, even though we saved the UK from nazi germany in WW2. and even if they did, The U.S. is by far stronger and would wipe the UK totally out. Bring it if you dare, anyone who makes war against the US has chosen there own destruction.
