PETA issued a public letter to former vice president Al Gore explaining to him that the best way to combat the threat of global warming is to go vegan, and they offered to cook him faux “fried chicken” as an introduction to meat-free meals.
n its letter, PETA points out that Gore’s Oscar winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth" that outlines the potentially catastrophic effects of global warming has failed to address the fact that the meat industry is the largest contributor to greenhouse-gas emissions.
Researchers at the University of Chicago have determined that switching to a vegan diet is more effective in countering global warming than switching from a standard American car to a Toyota Prius.
“The single best thing that any of us can do to for our health, for animals, and for the environment is to go vegetarian,” says PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk. “The best and easiest way for Mr. Gore to show his critics that he’s truly committed to fighting global warming is to kick his meat habit immediately.”

Global warming if it is or is ever going to occur is not being caused by humans. You have a fine vocabulary but you are being duped by socialists in PETA clothing. PETA is just another socialist group doing it's best to undermine your government. Animals eat animals, humans eat animals. If no other animals or humans eat them then tiny little animals and insects will eat them. This is natures law. Nature does not answer to PETA.
Humans are omnivores. Case Closed!

Animal herds are indeed a major cause of global warming, as animals create CO2 through respiration and exhale it (this has a much greater effect than the methane in cow farts). Large-scale adoption of veganism would indeed combat this problem, but personally not eating meat won't change much. It is a start, though, and there are plenty of other reasons for becoming vegan/vegetarian.
And anthropogenic global warming isn't a matter of belief, it's solid scientific fact.
EDIT: 3 thumbs down? I don't believe I've said anything at all incorrect...

this is nothing but foolishness.
Eating meat is good for your health and blood.
Global Warming is really a fresh water issue more than
anything else.
It is when water supplies dry up on the planet(fresh water) and animals lure in your yard for water.
This global warmin is out of control , it has nothing to do with
eating meat, or smoking, or anything at that.
Its a total Water issue in the long run.

Yes, otherwise the crap from the animals will increase the methane in the air and increase the unproven global warming issue.
