Up to 7,000 extra US soldiers may be deployed in Iraq
Most Read

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

A Pentagon official has said an extra 7,000 US soldiers may have to be sent to Iraq on top of the 21,500 already announced by President George W Bush.
The official told a budget committee yesterday that the extra troops would be needed to provide support to the additional combat troops Mr Bush is planning to deploy in Baghdad.

The deployment is aimed at restoring security to the city, which is being wracked by daily bombings and growing sectarian violence.

However, it comes at a time when many Americans and Democrat politicians are calling for their soldiers to be brought home. 70% of Americans are now against the Iraq war and it is unclear how the USA will get the troops without a draft. No republicans will send their children.

Could you be any more STEREOTYPICAL??
Not all Republicans are rich, but maybe they would be if you didn't have Democrats taking every penny we earn to give to someone they feel is more deserving.
GROW UP A$$HOLE AND GET A CLUE
We might not still be fighting this war if Democrats had given us the ability to fight it by any means necessary a LONG time ago. They refuse to fund the war and refuse to back up the troops, what do you expect would happen? They're setting us up for failure. Don't worry, you'll get your way. We'll be fighting this war on our soil soon enough. Maybe that's what this country needs, it's obviously full of morons.

The military continues to meet it's recruting goals. They have not called of rich republicans nor rich democrats. If you are inclined to join please do so. You do not get to select when you want to participate or not. You cannot serve only if a democrat is the Commander-in-Chief. Most of the service men and women do vote republican.

The 70% of Americans against the war is misleading. What you actually have 70% of Americans are not pleased with the way the war has been handled. Of that 70% about half want to quit and go home and half want to increase the effort even more and win it quickly. Add to those who want to end it quickly the 30% happy with the current progress and you will see that there is still a vast majority that are against quiting.

The democrats in congress know this. Why do you think they have no intention of actually cutting the funding? If they did they would be swept from office for the next twenty years.

When it comes to democrats in power, look at what they do not at what they say.

The average soldier is a Republican that came from a family that made more than the national average. They also have on average a better education that the general population.

As far as the polls go, you have to look at who is being polled. The AP polls have been polling more Democrats than Republicans by at least 10%. They have also polled people that don't vote. In short those polls don't reflect anything except that the people that asked the poll went for the answers they wanted.

Make that read, "rich politicians". Dems are in the same position.

If you think the US laws are wrong, remember, for fifty years Dems have been in charge. Bush is the first President since WWII who has had a Republican congress. And NO PRESIDENT can make laws. They have to be handed up from congress. He only permits or denies what congress proposes.

The rich don't fight in our wars. Democrats and Republicans alike. The poor are on our front lines. That is the way it always has been. Why? Because of lack of other opportunities. Why would you subject yourself to that sort of environment if you could earn 50 to 100 grand a year working in a nice office?

A better question to ask is why is there only about 10% democrats fighting in Iraq? You all can't be that much of a coward or can you?

Such a display of combined hatred and ignorance, as always.

Most people who are rich become so after spending years working, at which point they are no longer young enough to serve. Their children are their own people, and choose to enter the military or not.

And, fyi, a lot of children of well-off people serve. My father was a corporate executive in a Fortune 500 company, and both me and my brother served. I knew many people from such areas as Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham Michigan that served. So your claims are as specious and ethereal as your IQ.
