Freedom. It took the Americans some time to realize that freedom is for all people, not just those who would build a country, meaning white men. But indeed we did learn, although there are still quite a few that don't realize that women, and black folks make us a better country, when we as a Nation, allow EVERYONE to be educated!

Expansion...you know "Manifest Destiny", State's Rights, and to a very smaller portion slavery, defining the role of the Federal and State governments..you have to know that the Constitution called for strong State Governments and a weak Federal Government, but the Federal got greedy and we have what we have to do, a lot more Government than our Founding Fathers intended...the old saying before the Revolution, do I want one tyrannical leader 5,000 miles away or 5,000 tyrannical leaders one mile away...all we have now for a Government is two political parties fighting for the bones...
