Hey, Libby obviously did take the fall for the policy of the administration, or at least the policy of the V.P. These guys are truly evil, and playing politics with someone who points it out is more important than their oft cited "Rule of Law". The truth is they couldn't distinguish Rule of Law from the rules of Conga Dancing. I feel sorry for Libby, even though he is a part of this lying, stinking excuse for leadership. If he hadn't lied Cheney might have shot him in the face accidently.
So, bottom line is I don't care if he gets pardoned. It's no skin offf my nose, or anybody else's really. Nixon got pardoned, and I didn't lose any sleep. Hopefully though, the American public can begin to understand and see the rotten havoc electing idealogues like these can bring the country. Hopefully they'll understand that this sort of thing does not represent their basic decency as a people.

That is how the crime families operate. Libby has fallen on the sword and obstructed the federal investigation. The investigation can go no further unless he cooperates. He knows he will get pardoned and never see a day in prison just as long as he continues to obstruct.
This is America where you get all of the justice you can afford.

I agree. Regardless of whether it is a Republican or a Democrat, politicians should have to answer for their actions. The pardon system needs to have some sort of oversight to make sure it is not being abused. I liked Clinton, but he did pardon about a hundred people on his way out of office.

First of all Scooter Libbey was railroaded. He screwed up and lied about it. The original charge wasn't even a crime. Valerie Plaim was not undercover . Had not been an operative for several years.Secondly I can tell you hate our current president. He is an Honorable man. He will not pardon Libbey. And finally Bill (I never had sex with that woman) Clinton, pardoned a large group serious and dangerous criminals right before he left office.

Is that a good system were the president have the right to pardon people ?>>
Yes it is a good system.
How mutch is truth and justice worth when you can pardon someone ?>>
Appartenly worth a $107,000 in campaign donations.
"In March 2000, Bill Clinton pardoned Edgar and Vonna Jo Gregory, owners of the carnival company United Shows International, for charges of bank fraud from a 1982 conviction (the couple were already out of jail, but the prior conviction prevented them from doing business transactions in certain states). First Lady Hillary Clinton's youngest brother, Tony Rodham, was an acquaintance of the Gregorys, and had lobbied Clinton on their behalf. In October 2006, the group Judicial Watch filed a request with the U.S. Justice Department for an investigation, alleging that Rodham had received $107,000 from the Gregorys for the pardons, in the form of loans that were never repaid, as part of a quid pro quo scheme."

Clinton gave out so many pardons in his last weeks as President it was dizzying. But, being President does carry benefits, and, granting a pardon is one of them.

I agree. The President should not have the power to do this. Republican and Democrat alike. It is something that should not be allowed.

Democrat or Republican... I don't think politicians should be able to receive presidential pardons.
