Well....In your case...It has a lot to do with intelligence quotients and over all lack there of. For "most" white people, this is not a problem. More then likely, the crowd you hang out with are all afflicted with this obstacle which makes it seem as if all white people have similar problems...which they don't. This is an an sew you probably won't understand which brings us back to the initial question and an sew.

Actually, my white grandparents, mother, aunts, and uncle used to pick cotton a long time ago. Perhaps you don't see so many people picking cotton nowadays, because they have been replaced by farm equipment.

Well my parents(who are white) picked cotton when they were young. It was very hard work and brutal since cotton has prickly pods that poke fingers. How do you like that alliteration?
