Opening a discussion here. I honestly think that because Hitler like to play general, he is the reason they lost. So, do you think they could have won if he had been assasinated and replaced?
(maybe by Rommel?)

Appeal over baby named Jihad

Kate Connolly in Berlin
Thursday March 1, 2007
The Guardian

The German interior ministry is appealing against a decision by the Berlin authorities to allow an Islamist to name his son Jihad, the Arabic word used for holy war.

Reda Seyam fought for 18 months for permission to give his sixth child the name after the registry in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg initially rejected his application, saying the name was inappropriate because of its association with terrorism, and "may endanger the child"...

it seems if someone can vote, go to war and be considered an adult in criminal cases, they should at least have a beer.

when in the military, a person can go to an overseas base when he/she is 18 and drink, but when returning to america, they can't.

or will we admit that we just aren't as socially responsible as other countries?

I live in San Antonio, Texas and the letter said you are disqualified if: 1. Been under indictment or other legal accusation of a misdemeanor theft, felony theft, or any other felony charge 2. Been convicted of theft or any felony. I am just unsure because I think that since I recieved Deferred Ajudication and I know that means I havn't been convicted, well let me know what ya'll think thanks.

He gave residents of the battered region a message: "The federal government still knows you exist." He then followed it up with: "In spite of us trying our damndest to forget you."

That's so nice of him to come to the rescue of the victims. It happened in August of 2005, but we need to give him time. The man isn't exactly swift (in any respect).

for being such a "free" country, there seems to be a law for everything, from drinking on the beach, to dancing in a bar, to what color to paint your house.

why so many laws against individual rights?

McCain is slipping and his support is showing to be soft. Romney is getting no traction. Guliani leads the Republicans but reasonably can be predicted to lose his luster once his social views are known more widely. Brownback and Huckabee, conservative evangelicals though they are, are not conservative or evangelical enough for the Republicans' staunchest right-wingers. Tancredo and Hunter are boutique candidates.

It surprises me, but it seems like the Republican rank and file is restless with the current field. If I were a Republican on the sidelines, I would think there's an opening as wide as a proverbial Mack truck.

Will one or two or three others get in? Who do you think WILL get in? Not asking who you want, but who you think.

I'm considering selecting that as my MOS. I'm very confidant I will score well enough on anything they give me to do anything I want, but am considering CHOOSING to be an infantryman if only so I can respect myself for something. I'm seventeen years old and have many goals in life that I want to start pursuing as soon as I'm out of high school, including higher education. I also want to serve my country. I accept that I may be deployed to fight, but I do not want to spend three or four years doing so- I have degrees to be earning. What I want to know is A) how will I this play into my 'civilian' life and what will it be like being an Infantryman? Thank you.

Why don't we have a social health care system without eliminating privatized health care. Examples: Post Office and FedEx, Public and Private schools, MN Care and Group Health. It would leave room for competition and provide a fall back for those who aren't offered health care through work or can't afford it. Believe it or not some employers don't provide health insurance.
