Under Hitler Nazi Germany was the first nation to enact smoking bans.. As well as research on smoking there was much anti-smoking health promotion in Nazi Germany. The Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls disseminated anti-smoking propaganda, and in 1939 Hermann Göring issued a decree forbidding the military from smoking on the streets and during marches or brief off-duty periods. in 1942 the Federation of German Women launched a campaign against tobacco and alcohol misuse. Such campaigns were backed by legislation, and smoking was banned for both pupils and teachers in many schools. in 1943, tobacco use was outlawed in public places for anyone aged less than 18 years. It was considered criminal negligence if drivers were involved in crashes while smoking. In 1944 smoking was banned on trains and buses in cities. It was also prohibited in many workplaces, public buildings, hospitals, and rest homes. The advertising of smoking products was strictly controlled.

From my perspective, he actively trashed the economy and was lucky enough to be president when the USSR went bankrupt. I think scholars agree that his policies did hasten the collapse of the USSR, but not by much. It would have happened anyway. Why is this man so revered by the majority of the country?

Is the US government is subject to the will of the majority of people? Could it then be reasoned that the will of the majority has the power, or at least the majority of the power? If the American culture is fairly homogenious, then wouldn't it reason that the will of the people would have a large sway on the government? I do believe that the American culture is vary homogenious relative to countries such as Chad. I do believe that American society is largely Christian. Does rielegion not have a heavy sway on the wills of its foloweres? If the will of the people (remainders being inconsicuential), does it not reason that the US government is a theocrassy? If I wish to sway the people to my will should I not thus seek to become know as a leader of a Christian morals? Would I want to emphasise my Christianity to gain sway over the minds of those I wish to make subject to my will? Do you think America is a free and democratic society?

I'm 24 years old. I dropped out of college a few years ago and my poor GPA won't allow me to re-enter. I've been looking into enlisting in the Navy as an option since I know my job prospects in the civilian world aren't that hot. Is it a bad idea to join the military just because I need a job? I know it would be a 6 to 8 year deal, and I know it won't be easy, but I'm willing to commit myself. It want the challenge and I think it's something I could be proud of doing.

Should America send in a few nuclear powered aircraft carriers to the coast of the United kingdom and make Britain give Scotland its rightfully deserved independence from imperialist Britain.

Would the Scotish like America to force britain to relinquish its death grip on Scotland. I for one think - with American firepower - Scotland would be liberated in a matter of hours. Britain would fall quickly and Scotland would be free!

What say you?
