Skander, 20 - described by friends as an "angel" and a "saint" - was shot in the head at point-blank range in a popular Bradford park on Monday.
He died two days later in Bradford Royal Infirmary when his life support machine was switched off."The number one priority is Skander's life was his family. He took his younger sister to and from school every day and cooked and cleaned for his disabled father and his mother, who were separated. The coward who did this has destroyed a whole family. He needs to be caught and locked up for life."

Is it robbery if you go into a bank and give the teller a note that says "Give me money" and the teller gives you money? Or what would you be charged with? The Wikipedia definition is that you have to use force. So if you do get charged with robbery, could I go up to all the homeless people I have given money to to have them charged with robbery?

I may have to decide someday, if my bf and I decide to marry. Chile does not allow dual citizenships. So, does anyone have any insights on this? (and please, if you literally do not know anything about Chile, please refrain from answering).

I hope to join the military after I get out of high school and I have been interested in joining either the Marines or Navy all my life. I don't want to be just an everyday grunt or sailor, though. I figure if I'm going to join I might as join one of the more elite squads. Which brings me to my point. Should I join either the USMC Recon (my uncle was in this) or become a Navy EOD (explosive ordanance disposal). These are the two specialties I'm really looking into. Thanks.

I am a patriot to the core, so please don't give me any of the "questioning your leader means youre not patriotic" crap. It was through fundamentally challenging the powers that be that our great country was born, after all.
So, at a time when we most need to yell, scream, step up, revolt, do anything to change our current course, we all just seem to grudgingly accept the status quo. Bush keeps killing our heroes because he can't admit that he made a mistake (stay the course), and we mourn for them but accept it. A disaster destroys the lives of so many poor, mostly non-voting or democratic people in Louisiana, and we mourn for them but accept it. We wanted to impeach Clinton at one point for getting a hummer for God's Sake, and look what we have accepted over these past years. Am I the only one who wants to scream every time he hears the news? And to add insult to injury, the person who has been steering this ship isn't even the person that we elected, and he cheated to get in.

The United States money owed to foreign countries is about 36% with regards to our GDP. Every other major country, yes even including China, has a percentage owed over 100% of their national GDP. Why do the the Dems continue to say the countries economy is about to collapse from foreign debt when it is worse in every other industrialized country?

In 1951, a pro-democratic nationalist, Dr. Mohammed Mossadegh rose to prominence in Iran and was elected Prime Minister. As Prime Minister, Mossadegh alarmed the West by his nationalization of Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (later British Petroleum, BP) that had controlled the country's oil reserves. In response, Britain immediately embargoed Iran. Soon after, members of the British Intelligence Service invited the United States to join them in covertly overthrowing the democratically-elected Mossadegh. After convincing Eisenhower that Mossadegh was sympathetic to communism (even though he was an avowed anti-communist), the United States agreed to assist Britain in Operation Ajax. President Eisenhower authorized the CIA to take the lead in the operation of overthrowing Mossadegh and supporting a US-friendly monarch. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's rule became increasingly autocratic.

Simple rule of Cause and Effect.

I was selected as an alternate juror for a special grand jury! This means I am required to attend two days a week for the next YEAR, and there is a possible extension of EIGHTEEN MONTHS for a total of THIRTY MONTHS. I am desperately trying to get out of it - this caught me by surprise and they made me swear in right then and there! It's not that I'm trying to completely duck out, but during the summers (two full months) I am able to work an extra job which provides me with a substantial part of my yearly income and I'm afraid I will miss out on this - I must work every day or the salary won't be the same, which will cause great financial hardship for the rest of the year. Can someone help?
