There is no way to win the war on terrorism. Terrorists operate on a religious belief system and you can't stop religious beliefs. Politics can be changed because the average person doesn't care what political system is in charge as long as they are allowed to live their lives in peace. If you try to take their religion away from them you are going to have trouble.

Look, as 'General Sherman" (your page) implored: "read some books" (preferably some good ones on political philosophy).

To get you off to a good start allow me to provide a definition of "terrorism" that will, in your - and our - long journey, be about the only one which will ever be of any 'objective' sort of use in Political theory, analysis, comment and (Bush, Blair and all your little middle-eastern wizards take note) ACTION:

If you carry a firearm or explosive in such a way that innocent members of the public fall within its radius, then you are a terrorist.

The secret, from the point of view of any sort of 'impartial' political analysis, is that those who are unhappy with this definition: can't publicly accept it, etc. are the REAL demons, or villains of the peace. (eg. USA. UK. "Israel" etc.).

Pretty much everybody else who does this seems to have no problem with the definition ("Free" French, Stern Gang, Zealots, etc).

Just don't let the bastards dupe you into thinking its about "good" guys and "bad" guys, because "Terrorism" is nothing more than a military strategy, and if your buttocks have just been removed by a "bomb" while you were patiently and innocently awaiting your turn to be served by a market-trader, who is now little more than a nasty big stain on a nearby brick wall, then it really doesn't matter a didly-squit whether that BOMB arrived in a rucksack or an F16 airplane - fact is: a BOMB is a BOMB is a BOMB! And a 'gunman' is a 'gunman' is a 'gunman' - ie: a-man-with-a-gun! And yoos just become another statistical victim of somebody's military strategy: terrorism. Which is how wars are mostly fought by ALL participating groups. Always have been, always will be.

… As long, that is, as we remain where we have been for centuries - in the Dark Ages! (And we will remain in the Dark Ages for as long as 99% of the World's wealth remains as it does, in the hands of 1% of its population, while leaving the other 99% of the World's population to make-do with the remaining 1% of its wealth!).

As for "good" guys / "bad" guys - Hansom is as Hansom DOES!

Watch your backs. Don't have kids. Don't pay taxes and don't go into war zones (eg. buses, trains, underground stations, airports and 'planes etc.)

[Note: The only difference between The State and The Mafia is that with The Mafia you actually get protection]

There is no such thing as a "War on Terror"! It is a good phrase to get Republicans blank checks with no oversight, which is against the constitution, but when has a Republican (Many) cared about that?

"And what the hell is terrorism, anyway? It's not a thing; it's not a place; it's not a person. It is a political and military strategy, that's all. Having a 'War On Terrorism' is as ridiculous as having a 'War on Flanking Maneuvers'. You'll end terrorism when there's no longer anything for anybody to get pissed off about."

Terrorism is a tactic. How can you have a war against a tactic? Our enemy is not terror, or islamofacists, but Islamic Fundamentalist Militants, such as Hezbolah, Al Queda, and the Taliban. Our politicians insist on being politically correct, and they lack the guts to call this war by the proper name. Our leaders are so afraid of offending American Muslims that they have confused our citizens about who is the real enemy.

This war will go on for generations. The enemy will not give up; they have over one billion recruits available, including many who live in the US. We will be fighting in Afganistan for at least another 20 years, but we may be able to get our troops out of Iraq by 2010 if a Democrat is elected president in 2008.

Those on the right and left seek to gain political advantage by blaming President Clinton or Bush for the tragedy of 9/11, and they have caused our citizens to lose focus. We must stop indulging in this political blame game. America must be united if we are going to win this war, but I repeat there is no War on Terror!

Terror is an emotion. It is also a kinda silly way to make statement or to bring a perspective into the peoples minds.
God struck terror into peoples in the bibles, so if we are at war with terror, we at war with a God.

The war on terror is a whole load of bullsh*t - I mean, terror isn't a country, a state, a town, or any sort of place. How the hell can you start a war on that? Why don't we start a war against AIDS? Same bloody difference, it's just as retarded and impossible.

It's a war on logic, since terror is a tool of war and an inevitable by product of war. how can we have a war against it? political double speak. it's only good for big corporations who turn much higher profit margins in war.

Listen. As long as there are opposing religions in the world, terrorism will always take place. There is no use trying to escape it. We should fight it to keep it off of our lands, but it will always be there. We will be fighting terrorism until the end of our time.
GOD BLESS
