Becasue it really doesn't matter who is in power......things suck and no one can truely make changes. Remember Dems voted for the war. They play on public opinions. And when Clinton was in power he gave a speach with was almost identical of what Bush says.

I think the big issue is Americans who continue to drive cars which use the oil from the middle east. We refuse to drill oil off our shores or in Montana or other states. We want to protect our land. Yet, we continue to buy gas sucking cars. We buy SUV's that are destroying the Rain Forest. We live in one town and commute to another. We drive all we want. Yet, we throw a fit if we send our military to the oil rich countries and our selfishness perpetuates this struggle of power and control in the middle east.

As Americans we were gunho for sending troops over seas when 911 happened. And we forget it quickly. We would have 911 happening all over our country if not for our CIA FBI and military. We are fickled people. We have no idea of how free we are. We can't comprehend how the rest of the world lives.
We are spoiled We have forgotten how many lives have been spent to assure us this freedom.

mistakes. Well, all they've worked on is one mistake of
Bush's and then it was two months work on a resolution
that was non-binding. In other words, it did nothing but say

First they have to empty the oil reserves, bring the U.S. dollar down to an all time low on the world market, cut military pensions, make new tax laws that don't take effect until three years after they are gone, and cut off all talks with North Korea allowing them to continue to develop a nuclear program. Then things will be back to where they were when Bush took office.

With a mess the size of the one they inherited I doubt they will clean it all up this Congress. So we'll have to make sure the Democrats are elected to lead at least 4 more Congresses to be sure the mess is cleaned up.
