Its just too historical. The Jews left Israel long time back and after the world war 2 they wanted to return back and have their own country but in their absence Palestinians had lived there for at least several hundred years if not 1000 or more years.

Jews bought some land from Palestine and established a nation and started to side line them.

Palestinians feel like its their land because they lived there for 100s of years and the Israelis feel the same way because they lived there biblical.

Kinda complicated but that's the way it will be and no one has any clue if this problem will stop.

Hope it helped and I am happy to know someone cares to know the root cause.

Israel may, at some point, have to honor the peace agreement that was already arranged for them. United Nations Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 or some compromise. However, since Israel won this land in the 1967 war, they are reluctant to leave. I guess the U.S. wouldn't want to give back California, New Mexico, and Texas either, but actually there was a secession of these territories from Mexico so it isn't the same situation even though there was a war over it. Land or peace. Which is the priority and what is the price? Only they can decide.

There could be peace but the terror groups in Palestine will not allow it. They want the Jews out and all the land given back to the Palestinians. This, of course, will not happen and so the conflict will continue. How many little kids will be killed as martyrs before the Muslims realize that this is murder, not in accordance with what the Qua'ran teaches. Violence is not the way to peace. It only makes the Israelis more upset and less likely to negotiate. What would Americans do if we were constantly harassed by the Mexicans or Indians who wanted their land back? Would we allow them to send self-destruct bombers into the USA and blow up our citizens? Hardly. Look what we did after 9/11. We sent troops over to Afghanistan and virtually eliminated the Taliban. We do not carry a big stick and speak softly, but rather rather carry a big stick and hit hard. Isn't this what Israel does from time to time? Why only from time to time? Because they do not wish to see their young people die in a stupid war.

Israel is perfectly legal. Not only have were they there for thousands of years, they did not displace palestenians; this theoiry has been disproven. The palestenians had their chances at peace, they have rejected a 2 state resolution 3 times in 1937 1948 and 2000. each time they have responded with more terrorism.
I do support a palestenian state along with a Jewish state. It is a problem however when the 87% of Palestenians believe that all of Israel should be theirs, and 73% of children want to be martyrs. Israel is here to stay no matter what, so they might as well make peace. The Jews didnt "buy land", or "sideline them" they just got what the U.N. gave them. There will be peace when the Arab countries care more about peace then the destruction of Israel. They have used them as puppets all the time (Arabs have used Palestenians).

Israel needs to step up and wipe out the terrorists in Palestine and be done with it. Anyone left who wants to live peacefully can remain. I say enough is enough

I hope Israel kicks there but.
One should consider the history of violence that muslims and radical islams have. That society is by far the worst society the world has ever seen. I think it would be very nice if those people would just leave the planet forever.

I think each of their govts. are going to have to take a firmer hand in the failure of the numerous ceasefires.
Everytime there is a ceasefire, and somebody violates it, they turn their head and start the fighting all over again. If they call a cease fire and somebody from their country violates it they should be tried for treason and hung. People are going to have to agree to disagree and move on. They have been fighting for 1000s of years they arent' going to stop because we want them to.

I think that if the Palestinian politicians and militants put as much effort into making life better for themselves as they do in attacking Israel, then things would be better for everyone there.

I support the israelis against the palestinians.
I cannot support the palestinians because they brainwash their people and are generally dishonest people.
A few years ago, Yaser Arafat (The old leader of the palestinians) gave a speech where he told people "If you are too afraid to give your life as a martyr, then send me your sons and flowers(daughters) so that we may fight". he was refering to suicide bombers, and he was given a standing ovation by thousands of palestinians.
