I am not saying he is a coward-but he was of age could have went and didn't-I know everybody (neo-cons) bad mouth Kerry-but Kerry was one of the the few rich kids that went. Limbaugh -Hannity etc. they all bad mouthed Kerry-I am a Vietnam Vet-lost alot of freinds over there-just watched some neo-cons bad mouthing Kerry-had to vent a little.

I'm English and I dont have much time for polititions but as far as I know British poititions have a limit on how much they can spend on an election .
There doesnt seem to be any limit on what Americans are allowed to spend and it seems to be MILLIONS of $$$.
I ask myself .............could a poor man become president or even a state governer .
Where does the money come from and what does the one giving the money expect in return .
At the moment we are having a scandal about loans for honours but the amount of money is pidling compared to the sums spent on American elections

I've got some military buttons, I assume from the British army, and I'd like to find out what regiment/unit they came from.They appear to be crossed scimitars, points upright, with a globe/ball on top with what could be flames on top of it. There is a scroll at the base, but I can't make out any letters. The back of the buttons have 'S & W LTD B'HAM' on them. Anyone recognise them?

Instead of just one country getting wiped off the face of the earth Bush would be wiping all the countries off the world off the face of the earth. That sure is one way to win the war on terror. To bad no one will be around to celebrate the victory.

recently i found i was entitled to some housing benefit, as i was unaware of this until now i backdated my claim as my circumstances were exactly the same then as i am in now. My housing benefit was awarded but only from the date i sent my claim form in as my local council said even though i would have received help just saying "i never realised " is not acceptable. Would it be worth appealing as my council were quick to recall rent off me 3yrs ago when they realised i owed them from months before!!

Like the MacCarthy thing. He accused everyone, who disagreed with him, as a communist with proof of nothing and no one stood up to him and said "Maybe your a communist" excpet Murrow. I talked to a recruiter with my college credits i would be a Pfc of the start.(e3 pay) I feel like I will be the old guy in the group. I have a 2 year degree. Would it be hard to finish a 4 year degree while in the army? Once i have 4 year degree how much promotion could I expect?

I'm not certain if i should Join, if their is doubt should i got threw with it?

Any one serving did you have doubt when you signed up?

The AC LU is a well funded and extremly aggressive group. They seek to impose their views on Americans by playing the legal system and pandering to left-wing activist judges, for they know their goals would never come to fruition on election day. One of the more notorious examples of their strategy is the gay-marriage ruling in Massachusetts. The AC LU pinpointed an apparent loophole in the state constitution and showed this to the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth. The constitution had failed to specificially define marriage as between one man and one woman. Thus, overnight, 300 years of years of legal tradition were wiped out. Now while this may not be a very big issue in itself it is clear to me that a majority of Americans wish to keep marriage heterosexual. What IS important here is that the AC LU was able to circumvent a vote rather than have the public cast their ballots. The AC LU must have been overjoyed at it's first taste of secularizing American society.

Before she became critically ill, my mother told me her wishes with respect to her estate. We hadn't had a will drawn up yet. She has deteriorated so rapidly in hospital that although she hears and understands questions, she can't really answer. Is there any way that I can still have a will done that honours her wishes?
