i'll respond to your link with my own:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/03/science/earth/03climate.html?ref=science
in a nutshell the article states that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (which is regarded as the authority on the study of climate change, at least according to wikipedia) has found that global warming is occurring and that there is a 90% chance that it is caused by human beings. they also found that if humans curb CO2 emissions the global warming trend can be reversed.
personally, i find the IPCC a much more credible source on climate change than an article written by a single climatology professor.
but to be honest i didn't read your entire article, only the first few paragraphs. it is monday, and the day after the superbowl so i'm not exactly in the best shape to be reading long articles on climate change, if you know what i mean.

I really don't have an opinion on Global Warming either way. Even though I don't necessarily believe in Global Warming I do believe that humans are hurting the Earth and I think that's obvious! So even if it doesn't exist, I still think we should go through the procedures as if it did. It's only good for us as a civilization to clean up our act and invest in non-pollutant, cheap, easy, renewable sources of energy.. We won't have oil to depend on forever and we need to get our sh@# together and invest in alternatives before it's too late. Since we already have an abundance of alternatives. Heck! There's even engines nowadays that run off of air! What's taking so long to develope these??? I think we need to stop bickering and debating about Global Warming when the bigger issue should be our dependence on depleting resources.. Oil will not cut it forever..

Its good to look at both sides of the debate, and its good that there is an opposing opinion.
If you are like myself, you are more willing to believe that mankind had nothing to do with global warming primarily because you don't want the government involved. It would mean higher taxes, bigger government...I feel ya brother.
But I personally see nothing wrong in me selfishly wanting to breath clean air, or being able to eat the fish I just caught without getting ill. Or better yet, live in my house without the fear that some idiot company just down the street gave me cancer because they don't know how to properly store or dispose of industrial waste. And I kinda like the money that using compact florescents saves me (as well as not having to climb up on a ladder once a month to change the light bulbs in the cieling...)
I mean, if you want to trash God's creation, live in a cesspool, and waste your money on power and doctor bills...by all means....go ahead.
Oh...and its already been uncovered that a lot of those who are against global warming are being paid $10,000 each by the energy industry. Sorry, bud.

I think you'll continue to see some fringe scientists deny global warming just like we continue to see fringe scientists deny the ill effects of tobacco.
The scientific community has little doubt that global warming is occurring and most recently stated that they feel it is 90% certain that industrialization is causing it.
As far as your article from the Friends of Science (now renamed) I don't see anything new there.
I think you will do better posting and reading in the science board if you sincerely want to understand climate change.

Well, I did a little bit more research:
http://www.charlesmontgomery.ca/mrcool.html
The highlights: Tim Bell hasn't published a peer-reviewed report in over 16 years. Tim Bell works for a group that is funded by. . . the energy industry!!!! Wow, they really get their money's worth!
Here's a little bit more scientific study:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,200590,00.html
Notice the byline. EVEN FAUX NEWS COPS TO THE TRUTH NOW!!!!
Now get back to fighting that whole "round earth" theory.

Why are you being so mean?
Mr. Al Gore, who should have been our President, spent a lot of time and money jetting around the country showing his global warming film. He gained so much weight after losing the Presidential election, and he's probably sad every day when he sees how fit and trim President Bush is. It's not fair.
Global Warming is the only subject Mr. Gore has to keep him relevant. He was lampooned on South Park. Why can't you just put facts aside for a moment and think about his feelings? Why do you have to be such a buzz kill?
