I gave u an opportunity to promote your president when I asked to give me one reason to like him...but instead...the Bush-backers attacked. Maybe one or two actually came up with a reason to support him. They weren't good reasons, but at least they were honest and straight about it. So why when anyone asks to legitimize your presidents actions...do u feel the need to jump on the defensive? Wouldn't it have been more to your benefit to behave like an adult and truthfully discuss the person you support and try to convince someone else why he's worth it?

what will be their plan of action if another 9/11
somewhere in the U.S. happens? They are all
against taking action against those who attacked
US, so how would they proceed under the same
circumstances, do you feel?

...was detained and imprisoned indefintely without legal representation for a crime they didn't commit? Except, unlike the A-Team, you don't escape and drive around in a kick-@ss conversion van with Mr. T protecting the innocent with an unlimited supply of machine guns and ammo... you're simply tortured until you attempt suicide in your 10'x10' jail cell.

Defining Political Courage

“In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience – the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men – each man must decide for himself the course he will follow.” John F. Kennedy

We have followers and we have leaders

Clinton was a follower

Look at his status in the society and the privileges that he gets.
Is he given any importance given the fact that he is going to lay his life for you if time comes. Does he have a personal life? Is he welcomed when he decides to join the society after retirement from the armed forces?

As soon as iraq got difficult...you started whining and now your quiting...so french like.

Too lazy to think of a new plan? Yes, so a few plans failed big deal...no real reason to quit...

If we leave...it gives Iran a chance to become a super power in the M.E....and it will embolden te extremists because the wont be afraid of america anymore...why would they be? They made us leave.

If we are to leave Iraq i see a lot of attacks against america...have fun.

If anything, Hitler defeated himself vis a vis 'operation barbarosa'..if any country can take credit for defeating Hitler, it was Stalin and the Soviet Union. They were there hundreds of miles ahead, and made infinite more sacrfices than the USA (which joined, only after Churchill pleaded him, and not until Japan attacked the USA, while FDR had prior knowledge of the attack})...
if ONE nation defeated HItler, it was the Soviet Union! Hitler killed himself with Eva, et all in his bunker because he knew he couldn't nnegotiate with the Russians..while many Americans had prior to 11939, and even during the war itself, supported the Nazi war machine. I'm not going to even get in with another fatuous and fradulent argument that Reagan somehow was responsible for the fall of the Soviet Union, just because said dialogue is the most important historical query at hand re: Americans and their ignorance when it comes to its own history.

I just saw National Geographic Channel’s “Iraq’s Guns for Hire”. One of the points made on IED’s (improvised explosive devices), was that they are often set off using a cell phone signal or even a garage door opener signal. These devices have killed over 1,000 coalition and supporting forces. If this is the case, wouldn’t it be possible to have our troops vehicles equipped with a signal generating device (radio & cell waves, etc.) to set these explosives off ~100 yards in front of our troops before they get there? Obviously, we would have to make sure there were no other coalition forces in front of the vehicle, but still a way to have them go off away from their intended target. Maybe we can have them go off as the insurgents are setting these things up. What do you think? Can this work? The NG program will air again on Jan 29th and Feb 4th.

Isn't this getting ridiculous? I mean most people know who they are going to vote for right off the bat. All of this politicking that goes on for what seems like forever! And living in Iowa, it used to be a "sport" watching and listening to the wannabe's, now it is excruciating having every form of public media lead with politics. The amount of money these people throw around looking for a few voters is mind-boggling!
