We still have accidents, violence, abuse, drunkeness on the streets, speeding, bad employers and most other evils and wrongs.

Is the law just comfort to the paranoid, and what politicians do when they haven't got a proper answer?

Bush is pleading to send more troops to Iraq. if he doesn't get it, he could in future say US lost the war coz he didnt get support.

There must be at least 22k US families who still think Bush is the hero. After all, his faithful supporters voted for him. Not once, but TWICE!

SOLUTION: US should only send those pro war families to fight for Bush, in the name of peace (oh how ironic :-) and democracy (how noble it sounds). This means INCLUDING the kids of Bush +his loved ones. they'd be so proud?

Blair should also send his own kids to show he's 100% behind Bush, plus those violent prisoners who r living in overcrowded prisons. Wow, how perfect is that. They might want the chance to die for their own country in HONOUR.

If Bush is right, then Iraq will be in peace: free from terror?

If this works, everybody will be in Heaven? if not, they would die happy anyway for the love of their beliefs. The undertakers would be ecstatic too.

Is this a great idea? Pass it on.

Basically we did the civil partnership and my partner is British so we want to be close to America and Canada is the only option. I have a friend who will sponsor me in canada in a restaurant. Could my gay partner just come with me or would he need a cisa of some kind. We did the civil partnership.

This is just not true! Because we disagree with the war does not mean we want to loose now that we are there. The main thing we want is the soldiers to be safe. Yes, many of us agree that we should not be there. But once there, why would we want to loose? And yes, we do believe we should get out of a war that can't be won. Actually, since this is a false statement, it should not be allowed on Yahoo Answers and should be deleted when one makes this remark!

I'm looking for a user-friendly website that will show election results for the last several years nationwide for Senate and House of Representatives. I just want the district, candidates and vote totals. Ideally it would have a search feature by name or congressional district also. Any suggestions?

As much as it sucks, to a lot of people out there, Barack Obama studied in a Wahabbi Madrassa in Indonesia. Never mind the fact that there weren't such schools in Indonesia at the time. Never mind the fact that Madrassa is just an Arabic word for school. Never mind the fact that when CNN sent reporters to the school he attended, there were smiling boys and girls playing and learning just as they do in schools around the world. Lies like this risk compromising the integrety of the US electoral process.

what they say full of empty rhetoric. Why do we not have politicians like the late great Winston Churchill, who used very few words that conved so much.

Should'nt we concider them the aggresser over there and tag them as the combatents and enemy because they did nothing to protect those who were sent there to help them rebuild their country It certainly was no plight of gratitude and they should have protected the Americans if they realy wanted democracy in their country, The Sunni's are Saddams followers anyway. so why not take sides with the shiittes? their actions alone should so the Americans who is realy against them.

I was really interested in a story someone told me. What are/were you experiences like in the armed forces? What were you in(eg. Marines, Darpa, Army, Navy etc..)? And how long were you in it?

I am really interested in joining, but i would just like to hear what other people think about it first. By the way, i live in Australia.

"Our country is pursuing a new strategy in Iraq, and I ask you to give it a chance to work. And I ask you to support our troops in the field, and those on their way." (Applause.)

The above is a quote from Bush's state of the union address.

Do you think that there is an ongoing effort here to make Americans think that if they don't support Bush's policy in Iraq, that they are also NOT supporting the troops?

Every decent person hopes all troops are okay, and come back safe and sound. Everyone supports the troops.

In this speech, Bush cleverly slips in the line "and for those on their way" to force everyone to applaud the sending of more troops. He links the new strategy with general support for the wellbeing of the troops. Did you catch it?

Maybe a show of support for the troops would actually be to send 250,000 extra troops. That would truly help the troops there to succeed. And if Iraq really is the focus of the war on terror, then why not send this number?
