I have recently broke off a 6 yr relationship with my childs father b/c of his irresponsible behavior, lack of financial contribution to the household, marijuana smoking, and mental abuse (physical once). I was open and honest that I no longer wanted to be with him and that I was seeing someone else. Financially he cannot afford to go immediatly and I wonder if ever. Lately he is verbaly abusive ex and threatens to punch the new guy, being overly nice, showing up on my job to ask (stupid) questions, trying to go everwhere I go. I reinforced I no longer wanted to be with him, but he says while he is here he is going to prove his love for me by doing all the things he should have done. I have been thinking of getting a restrainging order. I know it gives me temp custody of our child, and forces him to move out, and no contact. However since there is no outright violence will i be able to get one. My name is on the lease, I have kids, and I don't see him leaving willing soon.

Sky News - The Government's strategy for tackling obesity in children has been criticised as "confused" and "dithering" by an influential group of MPs

is this not the job of parents.educated the children in what is good to eat.instead of leaving it and blaming the goverment.i know many a parent that would rather give thier child a few pounds to go to the chip shop rather than cook them a healthy meal.it's the parents that should be held to blame for obese children

Barak Obama: A Hollywood wanna be.Think if he is biracial & a Lawyer, then he should be president.
Hillary Clinton: Love to sit on the fence, read the polls ,then expreses her opinion. No back bone or character, but just an opportunest.
John Eduard : An Ambulance chaser. Made his wealth by taking to court Hospitals & Insurance companies, that got our health insure up.
John Kerry: A flip Flopper who never worked a day in his life & wealth was handed to him & married a wealthy woman. Then calling our men in uniform dumb cuz they are not in College.
I just can't find ONE that i would give my vote too. The problem is that the midia makes them heros so we could get sucked# into the trap & vote for them.
Does anyone agrees ? ur opinion !

It always puzzles me a lot. How do people become US senators, congressmen, and governors? Do they all have to go to Yale/Harvard law schools? How do they get their political parties to nominate them for these positions? How to get involved so that people can be nominated for these positions? Do people need to be filthy rich in order to run for these positions?

If every illegal in the US gets amnesty every 15 years or so, then what is the need of the USCIS ?
All the illegals have to do is wait for the next amnesty that will come 15 years from now, again.
Information: Reagan gave amnesty to 12 milions in the early 80s. Now amnesty will come to propably 35 milions. The next amnesty would most likely be in 2017 or 2020.

I'm not a Catholic or a homosexual but I think it is the Catholic Church's right to follow their beliefs - also has anyone asked the Muslims how they feel? - I understand they abhor homosexuality.

With companies such as Littlewoods, 02 (mobile phone contracts), Book Clubs like the Fantasy & SF book club, Ikea (storecards) etc?

If the person then cannot pay the bills, and then admits that they were never old enough to have credit in the first place (for example, they were 15/16/17 or whatever and lied about their age in order to obtain credit) who would be legally responsible, and what would be likely to happen?

I wonder if the new weapon to aid US troops can be classed as WMD, and the US Nation be invaded searching for WMD?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6295567.stm

Why haven't US been invaded on such an excuse?

I doubt if there would be the same "non result" of such action as happened in Iraq !!

..and before you ask or spout off, I have read the article, which raised the obvious question in my mind - why hasn't US been invaded to look for WMD?.. have a taste of your own medicine..

It begs the next question who would you call on then for help?

I am a naturalised British citizen (born Indian). My wife is Spanish by birth. We have both been living and working in the UK for the last 10 years. Recently we had a baby boy and decided for the delivery in Spain so my wife could get support from her mother. The UK NHS authorised this and gave my wife a certificate E112 enabling her to deliver the child under the Spanish NHS free of charge. The baby was born on the 30th of November, 2006 in Spain. We understand that our baby boy automatically qualifies to a "British Citizen by Descent". However I realise (late!!) that "British citizenship by Birth" gives one many more rights e.g.: my baby’s children may not automatically qualify for British citizenship if they were born overseas! It appears a bit odd that just because we chose to him delivered in Spain rather than in the UK he and his descendents should loose so many rights! If he had been delivered in the UK then he would have been a citizen by birth. What do we do?

Why is Chuck Hagel calling for diplomacy? With whom? Now if there were a country called "Terrorist", then maybe we could make them an offer they couldn't refuse but the terrorists are not a country and each has his own agenda to kill the infidels. Negotiating with one, will not appease another. Are we playing politics here? Elections coming and now those who were for it are now against it.
