I think of them as no different from any other group of people. We all want the same things from life.

I am an American and have lived a mere 53 years on this earth. Mostly in America, but all over the world, about a 50/50 split between living in America and Europe/Asia.

I think that the Arabian people are strange, alien to my perspective, mind set, belief systems and up bringing. That is not to say that I think that they are bad or good, just very different.

Some prejudices that I have are that Arabs tend to be crueler then my culture, more crass, gruff, much more fanatical about religious beliefs, value human life less, are less modern in thinking, treat women more like objects, are less worldly, fixated in their belief systems, impossibly inflexible in negotiations, unrealistic in expectations and demands upon infidels (westerners), despise infidel, are narrow minded, more primitive in thinking ...

I've met many charming and nice Arabs and Iranis, that are the exception to the above. People are people ... no two people are the same.

Enough prejudices ... only built up through experiences with
Arabs.

My two cents.

At various points in my life I have dealt with people from a variety cultures. What I have found in general is that people are basically the same all over the world. They have the same dreams, desires and concerns as I do. Their primary interest is in living their lives, raising their families and in general causing harm to no one. The nature of prejudice in the world is such that we want to assign a position to people based solely on religion, race, or color. These generalizations are rarely accurate. In short what I believe is people are people no matter where you go and so long as they mean no harm to me then I will always extend the same courtesy to them.
