There seems a growing chorus of anger when people criticise the War in Iraq, people say 'shut up, respect the Government, your leaders etc', I feel that without speaking out on what I feel is wrong is creating an environment that these people say we are fighting to prevent.

I'm 15, have strong ethical and moral principles. Since I'm a teen I live with my parents and since I can remeber I've always been told I should never lie, especially to my parents. Of course, like every kid, I lied to them a few times when I was under 12. But as I gor older I learned the importance of honesty, though for several times I didn't agree with them. I had several arguments with my parents, but we don't lie to each other.
But I've learned this is true only when it comes to kids and parents. Because in the adult business world, especially when involving money, lies are acceptable and even encouraged. Sometimes under more beautiful names like strategy, perception, etc. Lawyers lie on behalf of their clients and it's OK, it's their job. CEOs lie for the good of their business and that's OK, it's business. Politicians, well, needless to say anything. Actually, it seems the capacity to lie makes you more competitive. So, should I be a liar in making

Honestly....wich party is really going to get this country to a better place. Regardless of who is in charge the opposing party will not work with them. The dems are called liberal freaks and the reps are racist capitalist. Our inability to work as AMERICANS and not dems and reps, as well as political correctness is going to be our downfall. I would love to hear the opinion of others.

Should we forget the conservatives took us into Europe, Created long term mass employment (8 million +), squandered the majority of North sea oil revenue, Privatised every industry they could including British rail to finance their term in power, and desolated most of the other industries including coal production and steelwork to name but two. Introduced Poll Tax avolving to council tax. Introduced the CSA .
I don't like Tony Blair in the least, I would like to see him stand trial for the illegal war he sanctioned. However interest rates have stayed low, not as low as they would believe, there isn't 8 million unemployed.

who invaded other nations and thumbed his nose at the world ? Bill Clinton and most of the Democrats in Congress agreed with Bush that Iraq was necessary. The Taliban had allowed training camps for terrorists. Both were threats and needed to be dealt with.
How do you Dems and Libs justify one and condemn the other? It makes no sense.

I think he was pretty evasive. He didn't say much about our national debt, or when they are going to put social security in an account that they can't just spend however they feel. He didn't talk much about the gigantic trade deficite. When they got done patting each other on the back, I didn't get much out of it. What do you think?

Wearing a white kippa and flanked by Israeli and U.S. flags, Clinton greeted the audience with "shalom" in Hebrew, winning long, loud applause. He promised that the close relations between the US and Israel would continue if Kerry is elected.

This president's approval ratings have sunk to levels unseen since Richard Nixon.

That's right -- going into his State of the Union speech, George Bush's popularity matches the Republican who became so deeply and universally disliked that he resigned from office. Americans have had it with this president.

The US has by far the largest military budget, this is a signal for other countries. European Union does not really care about military influences and prefer to use diplomacy and politics and win-win economic collaborations as a foreign policy tools.

Every US military interventions done during the period 1950-2007 seem to be embedded with their ideology.

Where does the need to control the outside world come from? Is it only to have a safe world?

Hi I joined an online university back in Jan. 06'. My husband received military orders to Japan; I had to go with him. I notified the school that I would need to 'drop out' since I would not have internet access. They told me to provide them with my husbands’ military orders and marriage certificate by fax and they would be able to credit the term with out drop fees. I faxed the documents. September 06' comes, and there’s a charge of $3,460 on my student loan account. They never applied the credit. I made complaint to the Better Business Bureau on Sept. 21, 2006. I explained how I did not feel the education method was for me with sporadic moves, and how they basically provide you with text books, tell you to read, and give you writing assignments. I can get the same education at a local library without the $3,460 charge. Before I began I was told by financial aid that my total out of pocket expense for the 2 years would only be $6,000. However, I was charged $3,460 just for 1 semester
