Ok first off, don't listen to the people that are just saying Marine Corps or Semper - Fi. There are Pros and Cons in each branch. You should try to do some re-search on each branch. See which one fits you the best. For in-stints, The Marine Corps has 6-8 Moths Deployments While the Army has 12-15 Month long Deployments. The Army has more Enlistment Bonuses And Re-Enlistment Bonuses. The Army also has all of these Schools like Airborne School, Ranger School, Air Assault School. There is a whole lot other stuff you have to look into. Of Course everyone will say go Marine Corps but thats because theyre Gung Ho. I have respect for both branches.

You must consider which one you are going to choose. They both have their benefits. But, if you are planning to go to school, you should do that before you join. Though the military claims they will pay a scholarship for you to go to school if you join, a four year college plan can take as long as twelve years. I've seen it happen before. You could be working twenty four hour long shifts for the military at certain points, and then where would be the time to go to school. Do you see what I'm saying? The Marine Corps and Army provide alot of materials to show you benefits of joining. Keep in mind the Marine Corps has a much more notorious boot camp than any other service.

I really appreciate your attitude and desire to serve this country. I would just like to encourage you to do as much research as possible before signing anything. Recruiters will tell you anything they can to get you to sign up. Once you sign up for the military you give up a lot of your freedom. If this is what you want, then that's fine. But think long term about how this can affect your life, relationships etc. I speak from having married a military-man. It's a tough life. Having said that, the link to the recruiting site is listed below

Join the Marine Corps .. thats the toughtest, most challenging 13 week boot camp. My husband is currently a drill instructor.
But whatever you decide, good for you.

go to any armed services location recruiting office, there is probably one close to you. If you look in the yellow pages I am sure you will find one. I think it is best to talk directly to a recruiter. If you want to use the internets, Use "the Goggle" and search US Armed Services to find on your computer.
