The US has by far the largest military budget, this is a signal for other countries. European Union does not really care about military influences and prefer to use diplomacy and politics and win-win economic collaborations as a foreign policy tools.

Every US military interventions done during the period 1950-2007 seem to be embedded with their ideology.

Where does the need to control the outside world come from? Is it only to have a safe world?

Its called self-interest!!!

It is in the business interests of the USA to care about what is happening outside its borders. In addition, there are also humanitarian concerns but global stability is in US interests. The Euros were not any different in that regard.

Most but not all US military interventions followed US strategic interests.

First off its "deep". Use spell check. You are very incorrect in your statement of European military. We are a country of 300 million and we are a very rich country. Most European countries are not large enough to have a military complex such as ours. Russia being the exception. If you took all of Europe and combined it under one military umbrella you could have a large military complex too. Do you honestly think that talk is going to stop Iran? Europe has the most to lose on this one. You can bet your bottom dollar that Europe is behind the US in its negotiations.

The only reason the UE has no real military might is because YOU expect the USA to save your butts from the mad men as we have done countless times in the past. YOU have put us in this role. YOU need us to do it or you wouldn't exist anymore. YOU are like a teenager who "hates" the police. Grow up.

We are looking for a way to drop this stupid expense and we will not destroy our economy for you any longer. The moment grows near. Swim or drown.

actually china has the largest army, the u.s. is about 4th. and its not about 'policing' other countries its about protecting ours. don't you think its more than a little hypocritical that the countries that complain we are 'policing' them don't hesitate to take our money and ask for our help but when we ask them to respect us and not do things to hurt us they begin to whine we're trying to 'impose our will' upon them....we have every right to protect ourselves. and if other countries don't want to respect us and do the things we ask to help protect us then don't take our money and help.its that simple.
