so what if china has anti satalite technology... i am sure america has worse.
why does the USA assume it can dominate space and prevent everyone else from having the same technology? it isnt even nuclear...
peeved at Bush's rhetoric and their last years announcement of "space for everyone unless we dont like it!" comments? ideas? solutions?

I don't think this threatens the US in anyway unless it does something funny to China.
I think its partly a message from China which is "don't even think about screwing with us."
I think all nations have the right to obtain space technologies for thier own benefit.

Its a not a big secret...but we actually have an anti ballistic missile program remember "STAR WARS" under Regan. We have the ability to knock out Missiles that leave the atmosphere. We also have have an anti meteor system to prevent the global killer asteroid that's heading our way in the future. Do you think we were just talking for the last 25 years. China is still decades behind us in weapons technology.
