We still have accidents, violence, abuse, drunkeness on the streets, speeding, bad employers and most other evils and wrongs.

Is the law just comfort to the paranoid, and what politicians do when they haven't got a proper answer?

Their laws effect changes, just not changes in behavior. Their laws effect changes in the financial distribution.

The outrage or feigned sympathy for caused unrelated to financial issues are only to provide enough support to ensure re-election.

I have yet to see a politician with a proper answer for a real problem. Sometimes we get lucky enough to find a politician that can recognized a proper answer when shown, but not very often.

Well, if you removed the laws altogether you would find out whether or not they are actually the glue holding society together... I'd be prepared to put money on it that road accidents would increase if speed cameras and the traffic police were abolished. Some of the legal tinkering done is a waste of time though.

Of course they are. Laws are an attempt to make people stick to decent behaviour. It is never going to be perfect as there are evil people in the world, but we can but try...

Most things look good on a piece of paper ... its putting the words into actions and thats when the problems start ....where does blame lie and who should take action ....

they still feel victorious. look at the supposed hunting ban people are still killing foxes
