Crystal meth is a form, a crystalized form of methamphetamine. It is a longer process that provide a higher high. Very different in looks. Crystal is clear, some times yellowish, and looks like little shards of "ice", which is another name for it.

The process to create meth, any type, is very dangerous. Meth is very harsh on your brain and health, that is why it is illegal. It is basically poison, and it is highly addictive, more so than crack cocaine.

Crystal Meth And Methamphetamine

Some drugs are legal and others are illegal. The decision to make Meth illegal was made by both Federal and State governments. Some drugs (caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, etc.) are legal drugs though health risks and negative social effects are well documented.

Meth is probably one of the illegal drugs that should be kept illegal. I have seen it destroy so many lives in a very short time.

Amphetamines are a class of drugs in which Meth is a member. Amphetamines are not illegal but instead are "controlled". That is, you can legally obtain Amphetamines with a perscription (ritialin for example is an Amphetamine).

Methamphetamine, for most purposes, is the same as Amphetamines (chemically there are minor differences however). But the effects are identical. Methamphetamine can be easily manufactured in your home using various "precursors".

Crystal Meth is one of many street names for Methamphetamine. So, it is the same. The appearance of Methamphetamine varies widely. "Crystal Meth" usually refers to a more refined process used to manufacture Methamphetamine. The result is a light colored (sometimes white or even clear) "crystal". Some Methamphetamines are produced using less sophisticated methods. These tend to be darker in color and softer in consistency.

Noooooo!!!!!! They are not the same end product. Laboratory produced Meth is made under a controlled process and does not have the impurities found in street Meth. Street meth is made by different methods from different base products which are unlikely to be pure and the dosages are not controlled in any way. You have no idea what you are taking or what it's possible effects could be. Prescription meth is a pure drug, or at least purely cut, the dosage is stricktly regulated and you know what you are getting and what the effect will be. Don't confuse prescription with street crud. They are not even close to the same thing.

Methamphetamine, a drug with numerous street names, Chrystal, Crank, and a miriad of others, is illegal because it falls under the Controlled Substances Act as a drug which provides no medical use and has a high potential for abuse and addiction.

The amphetamines come in various levels of "strength" of which not all are illegal.

There is Amphetamine, Bi-phetamine, Dextroamphetamine, and the most notorious .. Methamphetamine. All are extremely strong Central Nervous System stimulants that can create numerous physical and psychological problems if abused, which I OFTEN see has a Narcotics Officer.

Hope this clarifies things for you....best wishes!

Crystal meth is a form of methamphetimine. The problem with meth is that it not only affects just the person using the drug, but the "cooking" of the drug creates an environmental hazard which can poison anyone in or near the location of the "cook". The fires, explosions, vapors, residue, etc. are extremely hazardous and are not easily cleaned up.

From my observations, prolonged use makes the abuser paranoid and unable to control his/her thoughts and actions and leads to a wide variety of serious other crimes being committed.

Because the government says so.

Crystal meth is just a purer form of meth.

Crystal meth does not have to look crystaline to be considered crystal meth. It only looks like that because it's gone through another process.

Crystal meth and methamphetamine are the same thing.
It's illegal because of it's devastating effect on its users, their families and society in general. It will f*#k you up - BAD. Physically, mentally and emotionally it is a killer. It'll screw up your life so bad you won't want to live the rest of it.
Best to leave it alone.

Because our country feels that they have the right to tell Americans what they can and cannot do to their own bodies.

Yes, crystal meth is methamphetamine.

And trust me, I'm not saying meth is a good thing. It is a horribly addictive, destructive drug. But I feel adults have the right to kill themselves if that is the path they choose. Our government was not created to by our Mommy & Daddy, but they have become that.
