They've been indoctrinated to believe everything they see on TV, particularly the hateful, divisive nonsense. Most Bush supporters are closet racists too, that or just morons who think he's doing what's best for the country (Who needs to know he makes more money from Saudi Arabia than the US after all? Does it matter..? I'm sure he's still impartial and fair...) Mwahahaha!! I don't HATE him, hatred gets you nowhere, but I really REALLY dislike his greedy campaign for more money & power.
BTW to moley, Sure he lowers taxes (mostly to businesses and high-earners), but you just have to look at the US deficit to see it's a bad idea, considering it's higher than ever before.
Sam, "the arms merchants in our own country stop feeding the countless wars that rage across the globe". Have you ever read a history book about the US foreign policy for the last 50 years? Clearly not (you seem to deny that the CIA gave weapons and training to Al Queda, and put Saddam into power, giving him his chemical weapons he used against the Kurds).
OK santabud, you're not racist, you just a lil silly then.. ;-)
Why don't you Bush fanboys do some reading? If you're up to the challenge:
http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Articles3/Jayne_Hitler-Bush.htm
People don't bring up these arguments against Bush because they are unpatriotic, they do so because they ARE patriotic, and can see that Bush's policies are putting the US in a shocking position of which the nation may never recover.

Have you read the answers to the same question you just asked 10 minutes ago?? I haven't & won't attack you. Regardless of any disagreement I may have w you , I have some faith you are still an American, & want good things for OUR country.
I'm not HAPPY about the war, & still I don't HATE the President. Why does it seem whoever disagrees w our President chooses to advance their feelings all the way to the extreme of HATE. Do you know enough about Bush to really HATE.
Is it common to HATE when you don't agree?? Not attacking you, just asking. After 51 years on this earth I don't recall having ever felt true hate , the kind frequently displayed here, for any person. I'm a DEmocrat since '72 BTW
Late edit- Kenshao, please read my answer, Did I attack you? You speak of devisiveness & then throw out that closet racist garbage. I am strong enough your words cannot harm me!

give me a break. I haven't heard any solutions coming from your side. only attacks. your side is not willing to listen. why try and explain why invading Iraq was strategically a good move against Iran.
Why personal retirement accounts should replace failing social security. I don't plan to get it when I retire in 30 years. Why school vouchers should be available. why taxes should be cut. the economy has proved that works. have you looked at the market???
the dems fight to raise minimum wage. how does that help? it will only hurt the small business and drive them to operate with fewer employees or raise their prices. like it or not business owners should not be penalized. in the end we will all be working for wal-mart because a small business owner won't be able to operate under the liberals agenda.

Thank you for this... The most insightful part of your details is the clear demonstration of how divisive this president has been. Like me you clearly stated, 'your president'. This is the fact of the matter. 75% of America does not or will not accept Bush as their president and hence lies his greatest failure. He is leading a 1/4 of the population... not even half.
EDIT: kscottmcc... His AID was dependant on the corrupt regimes converting their policies and spending the cash on half baked christian philosophies. Imagine suggesting to some Bushman to abstain from sex rather than provide condoms in the hope that they do not contract Aids. Please note that the SUV's now driven by these despots in Africa have all been renewed. Thanks Bush.

If you live in America like it or not he is the President which makes him your president! There is no civil war going on here where the winner gets to be president.

I believe that Bush is like one of those over protective Fathers...He and his people really do care about us and the world on that note but we in turn are going to hate him and some of his rules or policys even though he is just trying to protect us.

Lets face reality, no matter what Bush does, did or will do, you would not like him and would demean anything someone posts that is good. Just take your insane hate and go kiss Jane Fonda with it.

you have to read the speech is why i answered this question.
Most people think Obama is liberal he is not .
most republican tend to think if your not a republican then your a liberal (which is true lol) but he is not a liberal and not a republican.
Barack Obama is of Black and White heritage
He is a harvard graduate
He is a christian
He is devoted father and husband
He is not a muslim
back in 2002 senator Obama made a thought provoking speech. A speech if you look at it today its like wow
he is correct.
he is young and he is feisty but mellow i call that confidence
I urge all americans to research all presidentail canadiates and then pick the best one.
But this young man turned my head .I can not give his words any justice so in own words this is what he demanded that has yet to be fullfilled

I stand before you as someone who is not opposed to war in all circumstances. The Civil War was one of the bloodiest in history, and yet it was only through the crucible of the sword, the sacrifice of multitudes, that we could begin to perfect this union and drive the scourge of slavery from our soil.
I don't oppose all wars. My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton's army. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil.
I don't oppose all wars. After September 11, after witnessing the carnage and destruction, the dust and the tears, I supported this administration's pledge to hunt down and root out those who would slaughter innocents in the name of intolerance, and I would willingly take up arms myself to prevent such tragedy from happening again.
I don't oppose all wars. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other armchair, weekend warriors in this administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne. What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Rove to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income, to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone through the worst month since the Great Depression.
That's what I'm opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.
Now let me be clear: I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power.... The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him. But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors...and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.
I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.
I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars. So for those of us who seek a more just and secure world for our children, let us send a clear message to the president.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let's finish the fight with Bin Laden and al-Qaeda, through effective, coordinated intelligence, and a shutting down of the financial networks that support terrorism, and a homeland security program that involves more than color-coded warnings.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let's fight to make sure that...we vigorously enforce a nonproliferation treaty, and that former enemies and current allies like Russia safeguard and ultimately eliminate their stores of nuclear material, and that nations like Pakistan and India never use the terrible weapons already in their possession, and that the arms merchants in our own country stop feeding the countless wars that rage across the globe.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let's fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality, and mismanaging their economies so that their youth grow up without education, without prospects, without hope, the ready recruits of terrorist cells.
You want a fight, President Bush? Let's fight to wean ourselves off Middle East oil through an energy policy that doesn't simply serve the interests of Exxon and Mobil.
Those are the battles that we need to fight. Those are the battles that we willingly join. The battles against ignorance and intolerance. Corruption and greed. Poverty and despair.
