I understand the the people of this great country want to know whats going on in Iraq. Many of our sons and daughters are dying over there and we use the media to try to keep an eye on them, but I strongly feel the media is not only jeopardizing the safety of our troops, but it is going to lose the war for us. The insurgents see the political civil war they are causing and they also see the american people wanting our gov't to pull out. WE ARE LETTING THEM KNOW THEY ARE WINNING THE WAR AND THIS NEEDS TO STOP !!! We are no longer insulated from the horrors of war like we have in the past. With todays high tech media, we're being exposed to the gruesome images of death that accompany war and I feel this is lowering the moral of the people. We need to support our troops and help keep them safe by asking the media to BLACKOUT THE WAR.... YES... you heard right. we need to STOP LETTING THE ENEMY KNOW how they're progressing and what our gameplan is to stop them.

When I was younger and coming out of hs I was in a very liberal area and registered with the democratic party and voted for Al Gore. After going to college and really seeing both sides of things I've switched sides and voted for Bush in 04. I really see myself as with the GOP now, but I'm still registered as a democrat. How do I change this so that I can vote in the GOP primaries? Also, being in a very liberal area, would it be more to my advantage to stay registered as a democrat and just vote GOP? My father is a businessman and works with a lot of politicians and when I was younger this is what he told me he did. If anyone else has had these thoughts or went through this process I'd like to hear about it.

There is so much talk in news about liberal left wingers and Evangelical conversatives, isn't anyone in the middle of the spectrum anymore? Is being in the middle just being indecisive and refusing to pick a side? And is possible to be a conservative Democrate or a liberal Republican?

I have a son who is on medicaid with my ex-girlfriend.I was not situated when he was born.But now I have a job and I am doing well.I want to take my son off medicaid.How do I go about it?

My ex-girlfriend is fighting hard for me not to take him off. She is an illegal immigrant and my belief if that she survives on the handout she gets through my son's medicaid.

Please advice me on how I can take my son off the system and I also want to start paying his insurance.Any advice will do at this moment.

I am only 27 and so am curious how older people feel about his speaking/inability, as compared to our long legacy of amazing orators...however, in watching newsclips of Presidents Carter, JFK, and of course watching Bill Clinton, as well as reading accounts of Lincoln, etc., it seems there is a huge difference...I was wondering what historians will think. Why are a dissproportionarte amount of the responses and questions from the right wing made up of sweeping generalizations, glib snide insults, and other general rhetoric that is not based in any form of logic or fact?
I was tempted to copy and paste several of these in my post but deemed it innappropriate as I dont wish to attack anyone individual.
I have been reading these forums for weeks now and have seen maybe one out of ten posts from the right that actually contain a logical argument for or against a thing. Most folks have only a cursory knowledge of their subject and have done little to no research before speaking. Im confused

I am unable to pay the persnl loans i hav taken frm banks..total 7 lakhs . i hav lost all money..no propertys..

Back in the 1930's the government decided it needed to manage our retirement plan and named it social security. For 30years now they have dipped into my paycheck and taken money for my retirement. Now they are telling me that there is a chance that I may never see any of it. Do we really want a government that has so mismanaged and botched our retirement plan to manage our healthcare?

I'm in the Army right now. I'm in the field away from everything for a month. The internet is the only way I have to contact the outside world. Normally I use Myspace to keep in touch with people, but on the Army's official unclassified network out here in the field, Myspace is blocked. Why? It's the same as email and we're allowed to do that, except in Myspace I can actually search for people.

If you're going to say that they violated the US Constitution, be prepared to cite both specifics - DATE, TIME AND LOCATION OF THE OFFENSE - and the exact verbage and/or requirement and/or amendment that they violated.
