There are documents in the National Archives, plantation records in State and County Libraries yet it seems like the subject is off limits. The country is two-hundred years old, why can't the country and the nation be honest with itself?

First you get pionts for raising your hand to answer a question. Now we can get "STARS" if someone else looks at our question. This whole structure seems a bit "second grade".

I understand the difference between socialism and communism, but many people act as if they don't. This is just a quick poll to see if you do or do not know the difference, AND what you believe the difference to be.

I am free to say what I want, Right? So long as I don't mention God, my morals, my politics, how I think people should behave, etc. Am I on the right track Libs. Just want to get things cleared up. I can't seem to see through the double standard anymore. It is okay to push your views, yes, but I cannot push mine right.

On January 12, a Border Patrol Agent was taking a group of 7 illegal aliens into custody in the desert. After apprehending six of them the seventh, 22-year-old Francisco Javier Dominguez Rivera, decided he wasn't going to be taken and struggled with the Agent. Fearing for his life the agent ended up shooting Rivera who died.

Now the family in Mexico and the Mexican government want "justice".

• "For all the reasons Nixon was nearly impeached, George W. Bush could be impeached too. He has openly engaged in illegal, unconstitutional, warrantless spying, and -- while Congress has not yet used subpoenas -- Bush has obstructed its investigations, refused to comply with Freedom of Information Act requests, and broken a variety of laws in the course of exacting retribution against whistleblowers, producing false reports, and establishing a regime of secrecy of a sort that Nixon could only dream about". -- David Swanson, co-founder of the AfterDowningStreet.org coalition, The Black Commentator, 10/26/06

• "Bush's abuses of presidential power are the most extensive in American history. He has launched an aggressive war ("war of choice," in today's euphemism) on false grounds. He has presided over a system of torture and sought to legitimize it by specious definitions of the word. He has asserted a wholesale right to lock up American citizens and others indefinitely without any legal showing or the right to see a lawyer or anyone else. He has kidnapped people in foreign countries and sent them to other countries, where they were tortured." --Jonathan Schell, The Nation via Common Dreams, December 22, 2005

my wife had a permanent 3 profile for her knees. it states no field duty, cannot wear full battle rattle (field gear), no range (firing or carrying her weapon), no PT test (not even the alternate events....all at own pace and distance), non deployable, and no lifting over 30 lbs. she is going through a medical board to be released. my question is....what are the odds of her being released from the army?
