I would like to know if it is legal for a citizen/resident of any other country (not USA) to financially support the campaign of a presidential candidate in the USA.

I believe it is illegal (if not, it should be illegal), however, that didn't stop Bill Clinton from accepting foreign donations and it probably won't stop Hillary either.

It might be illegal now, but it wasnt when president clinton accepted donations from the chinese.
