When enlisting in the Military, soldiers know that they may have to go to war - whether or not they agree with that war. And the Commander in Chief is recognized by them as the one who makes the decisions - right or wrong. If they don't like the rules when they enlist, they should walk away. Hopefully, the military will no longer be the vehicle of choice for higher education for so many young men and women.

What an archaic word... "The decider" Those people decided to join the service.... those military people (great, brave souls) chose to get in there even though they knew there was the potential for war. Some of those brave souls chose to join AFTER the mess started in Afghanistan, and Iraq.

The decider is whoever decides. I decide things, I'm sure you don't let someone decide your every move.... Servicemen and women decided to join the service... The war happened. People have died and that is sad, but check history.. check city records. More people have died on US city streets from no cause at all than have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

To be narrow minded is a decision, to be open minded is one as well. There is more to this country and all others than the narrow minded ideas of the minority.

What if someone decided what you are to wear every day? What if someone decided what you would eat every day? What if someone decided how your hair should look, how your eyes would be, what color your skin should be? What if someone decided when you get up, when you go to bed, that you can no longer drink alcohol, eat pizza, smoke cigarettes? What if someone decided whether you had the right to call someone "The Decider"?

American troops gave "the decider" that power when they voluntarily joined the military.

Because if you are a leader of any military force, and you USE that military force, you are inevitably gambling with the lives of the members of that military force.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but we have militaries to do two things: Break things, and kill people. That's all it boils down to. Whenever you use your military to break the things of and kill people who disagree with you, you're inevitably going to have some of your things broken, and some of your people killed. That's how it works.
