I'm not an expert or anything, but things that will help:

- Skill (as previous poster said): especially in industries with worker shortages (i.e. nursing)
- Having a relative that lives in Canada
- Post-secondary education helps
- You're young: that's good

Good luck. My parents first applied for US citizenship, but ended up getting Canadian citizenship instead. So maybe getting into Canada is easier.

And Alberta (a Canadian province if you didn't know) is experiencing a huge economic boom right now, especially in Calgary. There are worker shortages in nearly every industry, and the unemployment rate is the lowest in the country. You can earn a lot of money, but affordable housing is getting really expensive (an average house ~$300,000 CDN). However, Calgary does have a fairly large Filipino community, you will find help if you look for it.

If you have a "skill" they will rush you in...just like in Australia. You just might have a chance ! Try searching "how to immigrate to Canada".
