Try looking at the gay site. Few of them argue rationally. Instead, they hurl insults and delete their perceived enemies' posts. For example, once I tried to argue, rationally, that AIDS is primarily a homosexual disease. I used lots of data from places like the CDC to back my claim. I got almost nothing but the same old caustic insults.
Furthermore, consider the possibility that many of the "right wingers" are really militant "left wingers" who try to make "right wingers" look bad.
Also, Yahoo! Answers itself disapproves of any type of logical argumentation. Logical argumentation is always imperfect and cannot be done in open loop, so "chatting" must always take place somehow. Yet they, often wrongly, claim that chatting took place and then delete my posts. Consider the following example, and disregard whether you disagree with what I wrote, whether I was just in one of my funny moods when I wrote it, or whether it was just plain crazy. All that matters is whether they should have taken it upon themselves to delete it. Here is the violation notice:

Deleted Question: Who says the American People do not get good service?
Question Details: Some people believe that the media, the American Government, and foreign governments do not really serve the American People. I have happy news for them. The goal of the typical American citizen is not to understand. Instead, his or her goal is only to feel good. It feels good to be a hero, to be part of the majority, to complain, to criticize, or to play arm chair quarterback. It also feels good to steadfastly maintain the same opinion—especially in the face of solid evidence that the opinion is dead wrong. [I am about to post more detail below.]

For example, in exchange for 11 million dollars from the rich Kuwaiti Royal family, the PR firm, Hill & Knowlton, duped the American people into believing that Iraqi soldiers had been taking babies from incubators. It might seem that Hill & Knowlton and Kuwait were not serving the American People. But the vicarious thrill of liberating Kuwait made the typical American citizen feel like a hero, which felt good. Although the American People are now aware that Hill & Knowlton had lied, they do not care. Hill & Knowlton and Kuwait, therefore, served the American People in exchange for the American People serving them. [I am about to post more detail below.]

Given Bush’s poor approval rating, one might think he is not serving the American People. But, for the typical American citizen, being part of a large crowd, in and of itself, feels good. Complaining, criticizing, and playing armchair quarterback also feel good. And feeling good is all that a typical American citizen really wants. Therefore, Bush and the media that is controlled by him and his associates really do serve America in return for America serving them. [I am about to post more detail below.]
2007-01-17 00:47:05Additional
The media also serves the typical American citizen by telling him or her “what is happening in the world.” It feels good to have such “knowledge”—especially when acquiring it requires little more than the press of a button on a remote or the quick perusal of a magazine or newspaper. So, you see, the media, our Government, and foreign governments really do serve the American people. So be pacified. Feel good. Feel very good…

Specifically answering your question about sweeping generalizations of the right--it's due to the references to Nazi's, Neo-Cons etc. Now might I suggest you look at the responses to the Q's to Libtards and demon-crats--they're just as insulting as those coming from the right. It's AMAZING that you're only looking at ONE side of this. It is all in the way the question is phrased. For instance, I politely asked a very serious Q yesterday about WHY dems will be voting for Hillary--not one response from a Dem. I would've gotten a much bigger response had I asked, Why the "f" would anyone vote for that "b"? Then, the sweeping generalizations and insults would fly.........

a question about the left wing..why are a disproportionate amount of the responses and questions from the left wing made up of sweeping generalizations, glib snide insults, and other general rhetoric that is not based in any form of logic or fact.
i have been reading these left wing posts for years and have come to the concludion that the left wing arestill hateful, self-loathing and are to be pitied..and i'm not confused.

I disagree with the proportionality of the snide remarks. Look at how many claim that Bush is an idiot, Bush should be in jail, Bush is this, Cheney is that.
The difference is that there are too many Democrats officials who seem to want the military to lose the battle in Iraq so they can make Bush look bad. These same officials aren't saying how to win the war on ism. That is why we question thier patriotism, their judgement, and what thier priorities are.

define right wing ? I believe in many Conservative beliefs. I do not consider myself right wing though. labels never fit very well, I believe. I believe both extreme left wing and right wing have called out many general hate filled messages. Ignorance of the voter is what these two extremes strive for. Somewhere in the middle is the true answer. I doubt we will see this any time soon. If everyone thought the same individual thought would be extinct. It is good to have the two extreme thoughts out there for us normal people to see. It gives us a chance to see what divides us and how we can solve some of our issues today.

Actually it is not. If one were to pay more attention and see the left accusing the right of hating the constitution, hating America, worshiping Bush, calling us Nazis, comparing Bush to Hitler, and making false claims based on propaganda, such as the war is about oil and Bush is a dictator, then one would realize that it is the extreme of both sides. But to accuse one side of being worse is just plain biased.

I think your question is more directed at human nature than ideology. The same thing can be said of the liberal questions and responses. I find the distribution of idiocy to be about the same. Political persuasion is unrelated to intelligence, maturity or the capcity for reflection.

I love a good debate and will jump on both side of the aguement depending on the mood. Believe it both sides are guilty of what the question accuses the right of doing. In both cases it's normally the extremetist from either side.
Seeing as right let's see an example from the left side.

Obviously your bias to the left, if you don't think the left is not just as bad!
Could the left even post anything if the rule was; it has to be constructive idea...
