Has anyone ever heard of "innocent until proven guilty"? There's a shred of wisdom behind that philosophy... living any differently would make us no better than animals. And when we live and treat each other like animals... THEN the terrorists have won.

And how would liberals like it if some released jihadists chopped off the head of one of their loved ones? They'd probably feel comfort knowing that the jihadists rights were protected at the funeral.
Let's try to WIN this conflict, folks. You do realize that the "radical clerics" refer to our legal policies in this regard as loopholes? More sympathy for the murderers than the murdered; that's got to be some kind of masochistic mental illness. And you do realize that soldiers on the battlefield will pop a surrendering combatant instead of taking them prisoner for this very reason.

Innocent until proven guilty is a right of United States citizens. Why do you want to give enemy combatants the same rights some of our soldiers died to protect? Maybe the terrorists who captured the four Americans and killed them execution style are better people than us. Is that what you believe? I guess a gunshot wound to the back of the head is more humane than 3 square meals a day.
